Not for Nintendo fans it isn't. Especially Wii U fans. I'm definitely quite unimpressed with the rest of the gaming industry though.

-Titanfall was tight
-Killer Instinct S2 was a good addition to an already amazing game
-Fifa 15, EA has been consistently delivering it well since 2010
-Forza Horizon 2 is just crazy good
-MCC is going to be just a pandemonium
-Ori looks like a very promising platformer with a different gameplay from other 2D platformers
-Sunset Overdrive is a day one buy just fom the streams I've been watching on Twitch

2014 has been great to me.

He probably doesn't like genres that are dominant on other consoles. I for example, would have a bad time if I owned a WiiU.

The only game that would sway me to get one would be a 3D Mario a la 64.

I have been having a pretty good time with games this year actually. While Destiny was a critical disappointment, I have personally put more time into the game than any other game since mass effect 3 came out. So far from disappointed there.

This year has also had Infamous Second Son, The wolf among us, Walking Dead season 2, Danganronpa 1&2, FFXHD, Fable aniversary and several others that I enjoyed quite a bit.

Then there is still Dragon Age Inquisition, Sunset Overdrive, and Smash Bros coming out this year that all look amazing and are definite buys for me.

Overall, I have found more games that I personally like then usual this year.

Doesn't change the fact that there's a lot of great games that came out and will be coming out this year, making the claim that it's the least impressive year in gaming history completely false as it's not even the least impressive this decade.

I hate how some people just wanna continue to completely ignore the fact that Wii U is the only next gen console putting out worthwhile exclusvies this year so far and still pretend like Wii U shouldn't "count" or something. Such blinded bias.

I was tempted to create a similar thread. I can't recall any other year as bad as this one. Maybe it was decent for Wii U fans but overall it was terrible.
