Forums - Gaming Discussion - Cod AW Digital Foundry : XB1 version 900p, solid 60fps

Nothing is wrong with 900p at 60fps. It should have nice IQ and play smoothly.

So the first COD on next gen consoles was recieved with criticism because it wasn't a great game... then we have this new game and the first thing people care about is it's resolution... like it's gonna make this COD better than the last one... smh!

Nevertheless I'm interrested in this game.

In other words, you expect multiplatform games in the US to have bigger unit bumps for the X1 than the PS4? How is that supposed to happen?

Nope. I said the Xbox is gonna take the US back again slowly. Xbox one will outsell the ps4 in the US is what I meant. It will happen I know it and it will take 1 game at a time. Exclusives and multiplats. Ghosts did sell better in the US on Xbox one.

I know what you said, I just want to know how exactly the X1 will take back a market it's been consistently losing in from day one. "Exclusives and multiplats" explain nothing, especially since PS4 will have those, too. Ghosts sold better on X1 in the US. Indeed. Now tell me - what was the amount and how much did it impact console unit sales last November? What were the console ratios in the US last November, versus what it is today?

Exclusive games sell consoles buddy. Can't believe you did not know that one. Plus NA is a Microsoft land just like Japan is a Sony land. I'll just leave the sales from 360 and ps3 in the US as a sign as to why the Xbox is very popular in the US.

360: 47 mil

Ps3: 27 mil

Sales in the US. Check it out if you don't believe me. The gap only increased every year.

Why are you referencing PS3 and 360 sales? If those were any indication of next-gen sales then Xbox One would be dominating right now....it's not. US is not Microsoft land. Xbox isn't popular in the US, Xbox 360 was. It is very clear that the PS4 will be the top sellin platform this generation in the US. There have been more Playstation consoles sold in the US than there have been Xbox.(this includes all generations)

Microsoft got lucky with the 360 and dethroned Sony. Now Sony has taken back the crown.

NA isn't MS land. The last generation was won by Nintendo in the US. Sony won the previous generation in the US. Hell your analogy breaks down when you look at Japan too. Nintendo won Japan's console and portable market last gen. The prior two gens Sony won the console market and Nintendo won the portable market. This gen in Japan Nintendo is leading both the portable and console markets .

60 fps and 900p is fine with me.

PS2 52 million
Xbox 17 million

See how lacking inportance you posting 360/Ps3 numbers are?  Previous generations sales are near irrelevent on a new gen, PS4 out selling Xbox1 is the only relevent metric that can logically be used now.  How can you honestly claim US is xbox land when PS4 is clealry unarguably out selling Xb1 month after month.

Oh boy! Here come all the haters! (Trying to stir things up a bit)

Single player graphics do look better than ghosts and it seems like pre orders are higher on Xbox one this time. Seems like the Xbox won't take as much of a beating in the US in November.

*fixed that for you.

This is the best looking (during the time it was released) COD game I can remember.

Hell, might be the first one I purchase in many many years.

As someone who cares about single-player more than multi-player, this is the most interested I've been in CoD since it was a WW2 franchise.  Kind of amusing that the normal CoD fanbase seems relatively disinterested.

Let's try to keep the thread outside of console wars if possible.

It's funny seeing you say that as one of the biggest instigators on VG.
