Forums - Gaming Discussion - Can New 3DS push 3DS to 100 M?

Will N3DS help 3DS make it too 100M?

If New 3DS is a massive hit in the west (which I'm sure it will be) do you think it will give the 3DS a boost to reach 100M?

Honestly, its hard to tell as of right now... Its selling quite well in Japan but Japan loves handhelds and it launched with MH4U and soon to be Pokemon! So we will have to see when it launches in the west and what they have to offer to really know whether or not it will be a huge hit or not!

Hell no. Now it might have a chance to pass GBA, but I highly HIGHLY doubt it can get to 100m.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Only if 2 things happen.

1) 3DS is fully supported intill 2018
2) N3DS has to be a massive success.

My prediction is 70mil for now

I believe the 3ds+N3DS will sell 75 million units total.

70M isn't a bad number either.That many of anything is a lot.I think 3DS successor 2017,so I can see 3DS doing 85M

Nah. But even if it does, it doesn't mean anything. There will always be idiots like me who will point out that the numbers are unnaturally inflated by poeple double dipping.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

I doubt it but we'll see

Nope, 70-75 mil will still be the most realistic goal, at least in my eyes.

It gives it a chance to pass the PSP, but I don't think 100m is feasible at the mo.

70m-85m is my bet. Prior to the new 3DS thingy, I'd have said 70 was near the ceiling of its sales potential.
