I don't think the PS4 deserves to outsell the PS2.. The PS2 should remain the best selling Sony console ever because it's arguably the best one.. :/

From an objective pov, PS4 has everything better ans deserve to sell more, bettet first year, most powerful console, yet not too expensive comparer to the PS2, weakest anf most expensive console at the same time.

I remember all the "Wii is tracking above PS2!" threads back in the day. Yes, the PS4 is selling fast but still pretty far behind the pace of the Wii in the beginning and the PS2 had several years in a row over 20 million sold.
I see no reason to think that the PS4 will outsell the PS2, we also have to consider that the PS2 kept on selling for nearly fifteen years, the PS4 will be a shadow of a memory in less than a decade.

Short version; the PS4 has no chance at outselling the PS2 and I don't think it will even come ball-park close.
