Considering how many people bought the PS4 Destiny bundle, as well as MS's free game promotion, this doesn't strike me as hugely surprising.

Most people are talking about the bundle, with the physical disk, not digital sales.

 

Also, the digital sales portion would be about the same in both instances as PS4 has the higher userbase and therefore the better chance for higher digital sales as well.

It's not surprising at all with all these price cuts and the fact the bundle sold like crazy.

Destiny PS4 sold 300k more with bundles than Destiny One.



Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

A. PS4 has more CONSOLES sold in the USA.

B. Destiny was promoted ONLY for PS4 consoles.

C. SEE A AND B

I don't understand how you dont see that..   I am not talking about NEW people who just bought a PS4.. The current installed base of both consoles and promotion would have made me think this was impossible..  so hence I am "suprised" ..  We also don't have digtial sales for EITHER consoles.. so really.. we cant even 100% say that it sold more on PS4..

There is 400k destiny bundle sold not surprising npd show X1 version highter then PS4



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Actually, all it means is that more PS4 owners bought the bundle. It doesn't include digital sales, either. 

Yeah, but the point I was making was that those PS4 people that bought the bundle must have been new PS4 owners not the ones that already had PS4s.

That's good, because it means it sold a lot of consoles, but also interesting, since it shows the existing PS4 userbase can't have been made up from as many FPS fans as the existing Xbox One userbase.

Because you think all the sales of the games on One were only on existing userbase ? A lot bought the console for the game, look at the hardware sales, it's obvious . Still, even without the bundle, it's pretty much the same ( 800k / 875k )

This isn't even news. So it told more physically. Ultimately it sold less overall. All it means is that more PS4 owners opted for the downloadable version. Is there some sort of criteria that separates the 2 versions? If not then why does it matter which way it's purchased?

Free game wasn't digital.  Had to be a physical copy.
