Actually, your title is wrong. PS4 sold more physical copies of Destiny than XOne, because all 300K Destiny bundles came with a physical copy of a game.

Only XOne includes download codes with their console bundles.

Its not very surprising, considering we don't know how much it outsold by.
This is America only.
The gap is about ~ 1mill.
Bundles being ignored is about 100-300k loss of Destiny PS4 unit sales
Both are affected by digital loss, but PS4 more so because of userbase.
MS's free game promotion the week of Destiny was ~100k boost of retail sales

So its not that surprising at all.

My title is NOT wrong.. and you obviously didnt even READ what I wrote.. NPD reported Xbox One sold more physical copies then PS4..  They do NOT count bundle sales.. and I SAID that in my first sentence..

There are certainly aspects of it that are wrong.  For example, the word "sold" cannot be confirmed since there was the free physical game giveaway the week Destiny came out for XB1.  A more appropriate way to put it would be "NPD says more physical copies of Destiny, not including the bundled copy with the white PS4, were moved for XB1"

The PS4 bundle copies don't count, however the X1 copies sold along new X1 consoles do count, so the comparison is not quite accurate. Destiny on PS4 definitely outsold the X1 version, which is the only fact that matters.

It's not that surprising without the bundles. A lot of people bought X1s and PS4 to play it. With the free game promotion, you could get Destiny with a X1 and it would count for NDP. No copy bundled with the PS4 was counted. We don't know the digital share for the game too, specially because PS4 had a special digital edition.

Like you said,bundle and digital not included and yet the difference was like ~3%.Plus this is USA only.WW the difference is probably massive!

It so funny how everyone want to talk about digital sales now, but totally ignored those facts when Fifa and Madden sales were mentioned.

How could it be surprising if PS4 Destiny sold more nonetheless?
