Yes. But that's right now. Who knows that the future holds. I don't really foresee X1 cathing PS4 worldwide but I see it passing PS4 in the U.S. market. It'll take a few new Halos, Gears, etc. but it'll happen.

That won't happen.

It will win some NPDs but lifetime sales will be always in PS4 favor in US.

Sony would have to screw up bigtime for the XBO to take back the USA now... even Gears/Halo's wont make it happen.

Next year PS4 starts to come into it's own and has quite a few titles coming out... while MS have already talked about games that may not make it until 2016... I really think MS were relying on 3rd parties this time around and it's going to bite them in the ass bigtime.

Any oficial source for this month NPD since I went sleeping?

The best I could find is this in NeoGaf:

And let´s not forget that this gap is infered since no numbers were given since July.

Official numbers from this french website

And there are better more accurate numbers than those on Gaf, dunno why thats the one you are choosing to run with.

I wouldn't say it was a bloodbath last gen. I mean the PS3 launched a year later than the Xbox 360 and pretty much gained every year. It just looked like Xbox was winning because it took so long for Sony to catch up.

360 in NA 47M
PS3 in NA 27M
PS brand lost over 55% of its market share in the 7th generation.

Yes, its was a bloodbath. And this thread refers to the same territory. The PS3 never caught up to the 360 in NA.

Not insurmountable. My guess is that X1 will rule the roost in the U.S. in due time.

I mean why though?

The XB1 has virtually nothing in its favor in the US right now.

XB1 may have Halo and Gears, but PS4 has Uncharted, God Of War, Gran Turismo, better 3rd party multiplats and more variety of exclusives catering to fans of different genres.

Halo, Gears, and ball scratching testosterone shooters in general are looking finally played out this gen.  We can only hope.

Xbox don't have a home

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Or to coin a term used by one user on this site...

Xbox One don't have many homies. ;)

Microsoft definitely need a $100 price difference to change things now because xbox one doesn't stand a chance at the current price point.

It's amazing how everything is paying off in Sony's favour ...

Yep. Can't do wrong, currently (besides of PSN downs which are no topic on VGC but on other forums). But they should keep this attitude and efforts throughout the whole gen and should be warned to not get arrogant or lazy again.

We always mention PSN downs in nation. We don't really make new threads about it though. To be honest, I haven't noticed any downs, because I've hardly been gaming at all lately, but I know there are some, and Sony really need to get their shit together.

I guess it would only make sense after SONY did everything right with the ps4 in comparison with the xbone. My only main concern with these batch of consoles is that they are already outdated, hardware wise severely

So was the PS2...

t'll take a few new Halos, Gears to X1 to outsell ps4 just like Xb outsell PS2 in usa
