In japan, hyrule Warriors wont come close to DW games in LTD sales (currently at 114k with digital), its probably underneath the top 25 games of the franchise there! That said.... Here's is the amusing part!

Hyrule Warriors is already at least #6 best selling Dynasty Warrior game of all time in the US with just 2weeks (9 days) of sales. (avg of DW are 100k-150k in NA)

According to vgc, we dont have US LTD but NA and the top 5 are...

DW4 (PS2) 0.63mil

DW3 (PS2) 0.53mil

DW2 (PS2) 0.24mil

DW5 (PS2) 0.24mil

DW7 (PS3) 0.22mil

HW has 3rd place locked, but it can be the #1 DW game of all time in US!

For those who want to compare Hyrule Warriors numbers in the USA:

 

Hyrule Warriors - 190,000 (8 days) WiiU

Dynasty Warriors 5 - 150,000 (4 months) PS2

Dynasty Warriors 6 - 220,000 (10 months) PS3/360

Dynasty Warriors 7 - 220,000 (9 months) PS3/360

Wow, so I guess that means that so far, HW is the highest FW sales on a single platform then?

It is thanks to Zelda, if it were just a Dynasty Warriors game on Wii U, it wouldn't be doing those numbers, but it is something, and atleast shows the game has been well received, in that time.



COMG guide to points: 1 point = Raging. 2 points = Beasting. 3 points = Tearing it up. 4 points = Berzerk. 7 points = Rampage. 12 points = Burst. 15 points = god mode. 20+ points = DIVIDING BY ZERO!!! 40+ points = Youkai (originally Pokemon).

-1 = Negabeasting. -5= NegaRampage. -10 = NegaBurst

Congrats to Nintendo and Tecmo/Koei. Now do some more collaborations like a DOA exclusive spinoff with Other-M Samus on the roster and bring Fatal Frame to the US.

No its not a flawed comparison, i didnt hear this excuse with OP DW.

Also same can be said with HW in japan, we were all comparing it with all the DW games there right? Bt then this one doesn't count? :-/

I think thats flawed, im not saying LoZ didn't help, cuz i be lying. I get what both of you are saying but it doesn't change the fact its a DW game. Like OP was the #1 DW game last gen.

That doesn't explain the sales of the Gundam Warriors sub-series.
