Forums - Gaming Discussion - Can Advanced Warfare Outsell Ghosts??

I think it will!

Reasons:

-This looks and feels like the first next gen Call of Duty

-Can upgrade for free so it's a better value

-Desiny was a dissapointment

-Xbox One bundle has amazing preorders so I've heard

-No battlefield to compete with

-Next gen console owners are still starving for games a little

-Call of Duty always sells well even if it sucks (Ex Call of Duty: Ghosts)

What do you think? I think this game can sell lifetime:

Xbox One - 6.5 million (4 million in 2014)

PS4 - 9.5 million (5 million in 2014)

Xbox 360 - 4.5 million

PS3 - 3.5 million

PC - 2 million

I think it'll be close because this gen's userbase isnt big enough yet...

Yes it will sell well, but it isn't going to be the "next gen" title everyone is still crossing their fingers for.

Considering Call of Duty: Ghosts is considered cancerous by the general CoD community and this is looking like the best CoD in a long time, yes it can.

I think it may be one of the worst lol but what do I know???

You put Call of Duty on a game and it will sell millions. I think it will do comparable numbers to Ghosts and may surpass it.

No, it can't. The series has been on a decline since MW3. Even a far better game, like Black Ops 2, as hailed by many hardcore fans, still saw a decline. So there's evidence that a better game isn't going to bring people out.

And more so this year, you've got solid competition from games like Destiny. I'm the hardest core COD fanboy and my excitement for AW is at an absolute all time low. Lowest for any call of duty since I fell in love with COD4. And the main reason for that is Destiny. Sure, Destiny hasn't lived up to the hype, but it's still capturing the attention of millions and taking that much more from AW.

I think if it matches ghosts, they will be ecstatic. As others have mentioned, the sales of this series have been sliding for a while. It might take a really good version to stop the bleeding and then the next version can see a bump if it is equally as good.

It is near the end of the end....

A couple weeks ago wasnt there a statement of a 20-30% drop in pre orders from Ghost? (20-30% usual isnt a big deal but that potential millions)

I'm not sure it can. I feel like it may die off with the new gen starting. But then again who knows. I probably won't be buying it but if they remake CoD4 then I'm in.

I have preordered the Game for PC and XBox One :)
