Forums - Gaming Discussion - Google announce Nexus Player console - 1GB RAM, $99

what would be a comparable desktop graphics card?
Imagination PowerVR Series 6 sounds absolutely terrible

PowerVR is an established name for mobile GPU's. They once even made desktop and console GPU's. The PS Vita uses a PowerVR GPU

hm.. spec wise it looks stronger than the Playstation TV - depends on the gpu configuration, but I doubt they use the single core with a quad core cpu

I'm guessing they'll depend on cloud gaming to deliver some serious AAA experiences ...

But can it play Persona 4 Golden?

I know the games selection on the Vita isn't great, but it's still better than what you'd get on your phone. Though Android does have Chrono Trigger in my region....

(it is available on PSN elsewhere in the world)

If this sell well enough, we might be starting to get better games on android.

So there is already an exception, it won't happen to nexus player then =p

If Google were to put some noteworthy content on it, I'd consider getting one.

I've got enough to play already, so I'm not gonna buy another console to play Gameloft crap and other mediocre games.

Nexus Q was never officially released..   They killed it and sent those who pre-ordered (which wasnt alot) free ones..      it never was on sale to the public really..

Google TV however did fail...  devices by Sony, Logitech, ASUS, and Vizio..  never sold well..

XBLive: cpg716     PSN ID: cpg716  Steam: Luv4Tech77

Predictions on 12/01/15 - Generation 8 Totals:

PS4: 85-95m
X1: 55-65m
WiiU: 20-30m

Will it allow game streaming from my PC? (like the Nvidia Shield)

If so, i will get one.
