Your right i admit! Thats kinda sad that its a decline and yet outselling everything The other HH has to offer combined >:]

(i kid, i kid!)

Well, HH are on their way out - people prefer to buy their games on consoles or PC.

Yeah, i doubt that as 3DS will probably be the 2nd highest system sold this gen with over 70mil sold. Oh and not to mention Nintendo SW That sells millions along with some big ThirdParty games (YW/MH/DQ/etc).

I really really doubt HH will die soon, dunno what makes you think otherwise? (3DS sharp decline is no excuse btw :)

A handful of franchises still sell well but have dropped massively from the DS days. They also sell mostly in Japan. In the West, sales go mostly to consoles/PC games.

Lawlight, my friend i never said anything of the sort^

Iagree with the last post you replied, but as true as it is, we are talking about HH on their way out, which is 100% untrue :)

I think you mean the former Playstation fans now have 3DSes and Wii Us. It looks like there are still few Playstation holdouts. So sad.

Weird, I've been told by multiple PS fans recently that Monster Hunter is behind the times and there are much better hunting games on Vita. I didn't think they missed it.

Anyway, considering Vita owners have like a half-dozen hunting series to choose from and 3DS owners have just the one despite having 5 times the install base, can't we just have this one thing? Seriously?

Like, if you guys get Monster Hunter back, can we have something in return? PSO or God Eater or something? I don't know much about them, but I'd probably try them out if you took Monster Hunter away from me and gave me a different game instead.

Why not try them out anyway if you're a MonHun fan?

I did not enjoy either God Eater Burst or Toukiden as they felt the same kind of chore to me as Monster Hunter, so I'm sure fans of the latter would enjoy the former two!

(P.S. Final Fantasy Explorers is the first real attempt at a hunting game on 3DS imo - and I have no doubt it'll come west).

I don't have a Vita. One of my friends suggested we all get one to try PSO or something, but we dismissed the idea since MH4U is on the way, and not everyone was eager to spend $200 on new hardware. Even Monster Hunter, though I do like it, isn't really something I'd buy a system for. It's more something I'd buy for a system I already own. I already have a hardware "backlog," as I haven't even bought a Wii U yet. I'm going to need one of those next year for Xenoblade and Zelda, so that's $300 I have to make room for in my gaming budget.

I've seen FF Explorers, and I do hope it comes West. It look decent and if it got good reviews I'd give it a shot.

Vita has some cool stuff. I'll put it this way, if I had one, I wouldn't trade it in. But I'd rather have a Wii U, and I can't justify $500 in hardware expenses in the next year. Which is why I don't plan on upgrading to a New 3DS any time soon.

PSTV to the rescue!

I've just always seen quite a few Nintendo fans praising and spending hundreds of hours with Monster Hunter and always found it a little odd that it's quite a niche sub-genre which has been flourishing on Vita but no-one seems interested in trying it on there.  I'm always looking for more turn-based JRPG's!

But nah, I completely understand all of that.  I'd like a 3DS to play Tales of the Abyss, Bravely Default and a couple of other bits and pieces but I just haven't had the time/money up until now (and with Nu3DS on the horizon, it's all the more reason for me to wait).

Sadly I think that's just the result of the Vita's small install base, especially in the West.

I hadn't given much thought to the PSTV, but now that you bring it up, it IS an enticing offer. The PS3 is also a very appealing console to me, and it doesn't cost much more than the PSTV. I could be looking at my first ever Sony console in the near future. Probably not within the next year, but perhaps not long after that. If PSNow was a little more along the lines of what I want it to be, I probably wouldn't even have to think about this. Hopefully it will be more a more compelling deal by the time I'm ready.
