Thats funny to me. I will be off by 5mil for XY, im not ashamed about it. And that has literally nothing to do with the topic at hand. This just shows your backed into a corner and have to resort to petty insults.

And like i said before that logic is terrible. Pokemon isnt as big as it first was but it remains to be the biggest exclusive franchise (or at least 1st party franchise) of all time despite it being "Downhill" :->

So you agree that I'm right? Good, the first step to accepting the truth is acknowledging your faults.

And what Krezzy said is right. You freak out when someone says anything even slightly negative about anything Nintendo. I was never saying MH is dying, I was saying it's going downhill because, if you look at the numbers, it is, by definition. Does this mean it's bad? No, and if you re-read my first post that you replied to it was obvious that I never thought it was bad.

You have a funny way of doing things, but there's no need to drag this out. No i dnt agree with "Downhill" and "Flops/Bombs" and some other things, i'll leave it at that :-/

That's okay if you don't agree with those two things because I never once mentioned them.

Anyhow, I guess that's the end of that.

Ach. :/ Sorry about your bet. Has Digimon been confirmed for localization yet?

There was a petition that had really gathered a bunch of signatures. I think Bandai Namco acknowledged it, but sadly it's not a reality, yet T_T

Oof. Those petitions rarely seem to work out. As I recall we're waiting on a 3DS Digimon game to be localized as well. Maybe we can get both at the same time.

I know Capcom is expecting 3.9 million at the end of March 2015 (shipped + digital). I don't see that happening unless it launches in the West soon. I also just think that the 2 million means there really isn't any supply constraint. It's not going to sell better digitally than the previous MH which barely hit 6 figures.

Monster Hunter 4G is completely sold out in Tokyo (and probably all Japan).

Only going off friends who were able to buy. One friend in Hamada, Shimane (I know, tiny area) and another who lives in Tokyo. Both said they were able to get it without any trouble over the weekend. Said some places were sold out, but were able to get a copy without looking too hard.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,

I'm talking about now. I was busy on Sunday and I couldn't check stores. But I went to 3 different stores on Monday and 7 different ones on Wednesday and both days and all stores were sold out. This stores were in the well-known Districts of Ikebukuro, Shibuya and Shinjuku, main and biggest stores there.

next shipment is planned for tomorrow friday. But Capcom already said shipments and digital sales were over 2 millions on Wednesday. Day without any copy to be seen in stores.

And Monster Hunter declines further from the previous entry,

Deja Vu

Edit: Since you want to be all "technical" its inclined from the previous entry (or should i say last MH release) Less than 60k (MH Frontier G) vs 1,446,289 MH4G

Yeah, yeah, no need to apologize

Compare like with like - don't use spin offs. You know I'm right.

3DS bigger pacman ever!

Now that 3ds is more powerful there is no more reason to buy a Vita IMO!

It's kind of not...

Oh... and what about the awesome Vita games!

Well of course. but the gap is too big to make it relevant....

Switch!!!

Nope, Im afraid your wrong :P

I guess I will repost my chart because you guys are still arguing about this:

Notes: 09's release is the only home console on this list (Wii).
I believe all numbers are single SKU.
This set of numbers comes from Capcom's official data for all games over 1mil sales.
Slope is around 0.3

Notes: This is a chart of first week sales in Japan only
Data comes from VGC
Slope is about 0.16

As you can see, theres really no validation to the claim that Monster Hunter is going downhill, at least with the data we have. It seems to me like it has peaked and now it has stabilized and the sales are certainly more than healthy. Make of it what you will, but the phrasing "downhill" doesn't really fit

Wait, that's how you were interpreting your chart? The only ones that matter for this discussion are the high point (MHP3rd), MH4, and MH4G. Decreasing sales over the past two iterations.

MH3U is just a port of the Wii game, and shouldn't be on used to prop up the slope. It shouldn't count for the same reasons why MHP3rd HD shouldn't count.
