It will flop. There's always a way to spin it but ultimately it will be viewed as a commercial failure in the minds of most rational people.

Not really; there are plenty of games with great reviews that have sold poorly and there are also games with mediocre reviews that sell very well; reviews don't have as great an effect on sales as many think, in my opinion.

I still think Bayo 2 will sell poorly, 300-350k lifetime will not surprise me; I never believed it would score poorly on reviews.If it climbs all the way up to 500k lifetime; that should be considered a massive succes to me, dreaming of a million lifetime sales is of no use in any scenario.

If it´s already flopping in Japan, isn´t it?

Any way, no Meta can save the game from the terrible character design and nich nature of the genere.

Just look at God of War, MGR Revengance and DMC numbers.

It dosen´t matter if your film is the next Godfather when public want more Transformers.

It has 50k pre orders for the US. It has sold almost 50k in Japan as of last week. Let's guess world wide, it will have sold in excess of 250k by christmas. Flop? No. I am guessing it will sell similarly to the xbox 360 version of Bayonetta at the least and at the most will be a resounding success. Bayonetta has become a symbol on the Wii U now (a symbol that will move forward with Nintendo) and I can already see a Bayonetta 3.

I always thought that it was a flop and still do. A definition of a flop for me is something which sells terribly and Bayonetta will struggle to even reach 1m.

it will move lots of wiius. my friends want a wiiu just for it.

It will get released, drop out of Top 15 the very next week, and within a month be forgotten by all except some WiiU fans and critics when considering GOTY.
It has a very good chance to win GOTY, which could then give it a second life. But without a solid award performance, it will flop...
