If you have not gone out and purchased this game yet, My question to you is why not? If you are a survival horror fan, this game hit it all.  I pulled a all nighter tonight, I popped it in and couldn't stop playing (I also don't start my new job until Nov, More money) This game gives you a real sense of panic in intense parts of the game. So far the bosses have been top notch.  The game does remind me of what Resident evil used to be, however with a hell of a lot more gore.

They change up enemies to keep it new, While also changing atmospheres. This game is a mind trip, while also making you ration your ammo.  I like the gameplay, nice and fluid.  My only complaint is having to hold down the Sneak button but this does also allow you to get up and move when you need to.

I did pick this up at midnight launch with about 40 other people, maybe more.

Did you pick up this game? If so how do you like it so far?

how scary is the game? Based on reviews it plays like RE4 which was far from scary.  how many enemies do you have at one single time? cause in re5 the re4 system of shooting didn't work with tonnes of enemies running at you . I haven't got the game yet. Being playing alien isolation first. To me thatst a true survival horror game as the Ai is very smart and teh game is quite challenging on hard. Plus with kinect or ps eye as your noies detection , the  game becomes more scaier.

Good to knwo you enjoyed it. will get  eventually as i love horro games :)

I got it yesterday but I like to finish one thing before I start the next. Currently working on Alien Isolation which was for the most part an excellent survival horror game.

I am excited about starting EW though.

Agreed. Thoroughly enjoying the game and the Ai is damn smart. Are you palying the game on hard with noise detection on?

i died like 20 times in the first chapter where you have to sneak past the chainsaw guy too.
game seems like it's verrry good, but when you die and die over again and it feels unfair it's frustrating.

must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:

WiiU: Donkey Kong

XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse

Wasn't able to play much last night, but during my brief time with it I was positively giddy at what a throwback it was to PS2 era Japanese survival horror generally (aka, when Capcom didn't suck). I absolutely love the look of everything.

"My only complaint is having to hold down the Sneak button"

You can set the Sneak button to toggle sneaking instead in the options. First thing I did :)

This.  Makes the sneak option much more palatable.

I have it queued on steam, to be honest the only other game i've been playing besides Destiny recently is Alien Isolation (highly recommend this to you), it's great.

Looking forward to playing Evil Within in a few weeks during the quiet lul before christmas.

Yeah I'm in the middle of Chapter 5! If you guys liked Resident Evil 4 you will like this game! It has so much in common with RE4; it even has the bear traps on the ground, trip wire bombs, chainsaw guy, etc. What's great about this one though is that it's much darker than RE4 and the ammo is more scarce. Feels like Outlast in chapter one hiding from the chainsaw guy in lockers and under beds. It has a stealth mechanic like The Last of Us with the ability to throw bottles to distract enemies. The upgrade system is great. It might take a little getting used to the camera(can feel like it's too close and anamorphic widescreen), but it does add to the claustrophobia. Like I said if you liked RE4 you will like this game. The character acting is horrible as usual but the gameplay is where it's at.

seriously loving it...! There were some unfair reviews which should be laid to rest!
