It sounds pretty odd...but I originally started lurking early 2012 to watch the early sales of the 3DS and PS Vita. I spend a lot of time on forums for anime fandoms, and with the Vita being the successor to the big "otaku" console...I got pretty sick even before launch of seeing the 3DS get trashed and Vita get worshipped so frequently. I'd be lying if I said I didn't take a little enjoyment out of watching the sales gap increase...at least at first. Once the haters started shutting up, I guess I lost interest.

I guess I stuck around because the community is pretty friendly here, and the moderators are pretty strict against people with toxic attitudes. Usually if someone tries to derail a thread or trash-talk another fandom, the user will get warned/banned pretty quickly. That's a big deal for me, since I have a low tolerance for those types of posters. Good job moderators!

I'm here because of the software and hardware sales and people post interesting news from time to time... and I'm a lazy fu** for searching them myself. I rarely do that anymore though, I just look numbers like once every two weeks lol

Overall i understand where youre coming from.  As you said, it can be better than other sites but because it is a small site you also have to deal with the same people a lot and there behavior or subtle comments can get annoying over time. 

I'm not sure. I get my gaming news from here and recently, I like getting points even if they are useless.

I have a daily work at Nintendomination. The paycheck is pretty good, and Conegamer gives me special treatment *IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN*

There are also very good users that make very, very good arguments/threads, very funny users, and it's just a very enjoyable site. The mods are the best, too. Sure, there are trolls and dumb threads, but I just ignore them or play along with them And last but most importantly, I'm trapped in Jizz's dimension, which consists of VGCharting.

To me picking a console is like picking a football team. You support it with that tribal mentality. Obviously some over the top fans of consoles and football teams alike are fucking annoying but for the most part the slagging and banter is cool.

The chartz are interesting especially when your console is winning and to be honest since PS4 is winning so easily it doesn't grip me like the ps3/360 days. But the community on this forum is very active and i like it so i guess that keeps me here.
