Original title: eShop webpage soon? Buy titles from work or vacations

Nintendo promised a web-based eShop ages ago. But for whatever reason, it has yet to materialize. Perhaps something is on the horizon though…

A few folks over on NeoGAF have managed to detect a live page for the web eShop. You can view it right here. While it’s clearly still a work in progress (and likely not meant to be accessed by the common user), it seems that there’s actually some functionality in place.

We’re hearing some reports that automatic downloading is working for Wii U, believe it or not. Users can enter a redeemable code on this page.

When will Nintendo officially launch the web eShop? That is unknown at present. But at the very least, it still appears to be development… and hopefully we’ll see it officially go live soon!

Wow, People still use IE... Even when they have superior web browsers installed!

Anyway, cool! I wonder if it will be able to auto download once u purchase them from the site. Like if I am at work and I buy a game, will my wiiU be able to download the game automatically and be done by the time I get home?

If only this existed during summer this year, when they had the 3D World discount for $39. I would've gotten the game digitally, cheaper, and the digital promo would've given me $5 back T-T I had to get it full price at retail...

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

So if Nintendo launches this, this or next year. Then they beat Sony's incompetence on a free network in offering a webstore quickly...

Like come on, it was 2 years after PS+ started that the damn PSN webstore started.... MS had theirs for much longer... this is just me being a butthurt PS3 owner during the stupid Sony years lol

If you have the stand-by functions turned on, it should download the game and be ready for you when you get home.
