ps3 vs 360 cause we could be fanboys around the internet instead of just with our friends!

Plus theres this site with its awesome community which didn't exist in the Snes vs Genesis days so that makes it an auto win for me

PS3 vs 360.

SNES won by a landslide because of Nintendo's tactics forcing major third party developers to develop games exclusvely for them. There was really no war with the SNES vs Genesis, it was a massacre.

SNES vs Genesis because it was a battle to the death amongst the only two traditional console manufacturers left. Sony and M$ are two sides to the same coin.... it's like Apple and Samsung battling it out for supremacy in the mobile device market.

4th gen because Nintendo and Sega would actually go after each other, not just nerds slap fighting over the internet. Also they were fighting for 1st, not 2nd.

Or rather, which console war was more interesting....

3.   Genesis vs. SNES....Genesis had the early lead with Sonic, however, SNES came back with a late victory with SF2.

2.   Saturn vs. PS1.... Saturn had the initial buzz, however, Daytona and VF1 weren't enough to overcome RR and a superior version of Tomb Raider that the Playstation, the new contestant, brought to the masses.

1.   360 vs. PS3 vs. Wii ....360 came out 1 year before Wii and PS3 to much success....Gears of War was a system seller and came out just when the other consoles launched...

- Wii beat out both systems for the first few years, the 360 appealed to the hardcore more so than the more expensive Blu-ray equipped PS3..

- 360 also benefited by the much ballyhooed launch of the "You are the controller" Kinect accessory...

- By the end of this LONG 7th generation, PS3 was the late winner, Wii turned out to be a 5 year fad, and Kinect and the 360 were long past their prime..
