I'm just saying you're basing the fact that he deserved it based on what the people who destroyed the guy said he was doing. There is a lot of other scenarios that could have been happening here that the girl would not have reported to cops or the mob definately would not.

They said that he molested the girl in the street and after the girl started screaming then the people came to help. So I'd assume this was based on what the people who were there said. They can't all be lying. And If nobody would have heard her screaming then who knows what would have happened. He might have raped her and even murdered her so he wouldn't be caught. That is actually common in India. 

The same group who did commited this act of GBH and multiated a human can't all be liars too? weird I'd have thought if you are willing to cut someones dick off lying would be fine for ya.

The man reportedly attempted to have sex with the teenager in the city of Ganganagar, India, but locals found him down an alley, pinning the terrified girl to a wall.

The 40-year-old was then dragged away by the angry mob of vigilantes while they all decided what to do with him.

Unfortunately for the alleged attempted rapist, what they decided was to take him to a local butcher's shop where they apparently beat him with sticks for an hour.

They then hacked off his penis with a meat cleaver and dumped the remains in the middle of the road, leaving his beaten and bloody body nearby.

Daily Star online has seen the picture of the severed member on the road but we have censored the graphic image.

Local man Aamir Dhawan

Local man Aamir Dhawan, 30, said: "No one went to help the man because they could see his penis on the ground and knew this was punishment for a sex crime.

"We have had a lot of intolerable offences against women in this country recently, with girls being raped, hung, and molested, and it’s time it stopped.

"This sends out a very strong message to anyone like that - if you do it you will be punished."

However, police have taken a dim view of the vigilante attack and have called on those responsible to hand themselves in.

 

CRITICAL: Kumar is in hospital following his beating [CEN]

A local police spokesman said: "People cannot take the law into your own hands.

"As deplorable as these crimes are, law and order has to be maintained, and not lynch justice.

"We ask those men who carried out this attack to hand themselves in before we find them."

The man was eventually taken to hospital where doctors described his condition as critical.

The girl was treated for shock and given counselling.

So now we go and cut off the mobs hands because  of justice?  Hmm  in the end noone one earth will have hands. That would certainly be something the world could be proud of and should applaud but without hands that will be problematic.

I find it funny how many people think that this was a fitting or fair punishment. Not trying to justify rape at all, but mutilation is not a fitting punishment. It's a rather selfish way of looking at things.

If we all are to say that this was "justice," then I suppose that theft should also result in mutilation. Petty theft? Rip off a nail. Take it one step further? Cut off a digit. Then up and up until you cut off both of their arms.

This is the line of thinking you guys are going with. It's pretty medieval.

a lot of you guys are really out of control, and you think youre enlightened by exclaiming GET HIM!!!! but really, it just makes you look like youre stuck in the distant distant past. there are ways to deal with offenders that dont involve acting like fucking monkeys, and we do that because we dont want innocent people getting fucked over. if you support this kind of shit, you might as well be accusing people of being witches and burning them because fuck a trial, you already know everything there is to know. seriously, vgc, get off your high horse.

The funniest thing about it is that some of the responses to that would undoubtedly be "nothing would happen" or something along those lines, saying that it's okay for the people to act because there's suspicion that law enforcement would do nothing about the issue.  Even IF that's the case, it's still unacceptable to take it to these extremes, and even worse to act like it's okay or that justice had been served.

same here. courts can be far from just a lot of the times, but its far better to look into an issue and try to make a rational judgement rather than.. what most people here seem to want.
