Well I know Im kind off late but I dont have Metal Gear SOlid 3 yet (I have 1 and 2) I will be getting one this weekend(I just want it to play it b4 msg4) So which one is better. People say subsistence has better camera but Snake eater is better for some reason....is this true.....which one to Buy????

Get Subsistence. It does have better camera, and that's one thing I hated about Snake Eater. Also Subsistence has more stuff.

I would wait and buy the essential collection next month, which has the Subsistance version, plus the three other Metal Gear Solids.

I absolutely loved MGS3, but the 1995-style camera seriously bugged me. Definitely get Subsistence, even if you have to pay a bit more. IIRC it also has those awesome funny video clips that you'd otherwise have to dig up from YouTube.

I would agree with this suggestion. Otherwise, just go for the Subsistance version for the reasons other people stated.

1- You can use the better camera

2- more content

~~3- Online play~~ No longer available anymore, sadly. However, I found myself getting wasted everytime I tried it so I don't know if I would have recommended it if it were still available anyhow.
