Despite the fact that throughout the past few weeks the Xbox One has been launching in various nations it has failed to beat the PS4 once, coming very close to doing this on the week ending October 4th with the big China launch.

Will the Xbox One ever be able to beat the PS4 worldwide in a single week for the rest of 2014?

Doubtful because of Europe.

Lets wait for adjustments. And i think it will, sooner or later.

Edit: was talking about lifetime sales not 2014. In 2014 i dont see it happening. Maybe, you never know.

Not sure if I trust these sales results....

Sales look quite lowe in the EU and even NA considering it was FH2 launch week.

I could be that FH2 did absolutely nothing to move consoles, but I think that X1 was simply undertracked for the week.

Only my opinion : I don't think XOne will manage to win one single week in all remaining 2014 and all 2015 up to September.  

If they couldn't during China Launch and Forza Horizon2 release, don't know what else will do when also PS4 will have good deals/exclusive/Bundles.

We should always wait for adjustments.. but regardless.. doubtful. US maybe in a year or 2 when gears and halo 5 is out :-p

VGCs standard margin of error could still swing it either way, so it's a tad too soon to declare it a definite win or lose for either side. Wait for the post-NPD adjustments.

Anyway, i'd say the X1's only chance of beating the PS4 this year (assuming it didn't this week) will be black friday. If it can achieve a more significant boost than the PS4, which could be possible if MS market the shit out of it with lots of cheap promotions, the X1's US sales could counter the PS4's standard EU advantage.

I think the launch week for Sunset Overdrive has the best chance to push the Xbox One ahead in America.

Let's not forget there will be a GTA V PS4 bundle in Europe as well.

Yeah, but this will not have a massive influence to Europe, except UK. And I still don't see them advertising a sexy bundle besides Brazil.
