yeap and I stand super tall by it.. With quite a copious amount of self insurance and very little doubt of the veracity of those statement... Anyone with an ounce of logic would agree... Why do you think licensing from big brand identity brings in so much money if not more than the original material they are based on... Stick Mario on a dildo and you'll have a bunch of overlap between MK and that dildo that's just a fact...

Ok I'm feeling nice today, let me explain your errors.

What part of the Mario Kart series exclusively advertises or gets people intrested in the Smash Brothers Series?

Simple the entire Nintendo Lore

First off, the "Nintendo Lore" wouldn't be exclusive to Mario Kart. Mario and any of the "Mario Lore" would not be exclusive to Mario Kart as well. The only thing exclusive to Mario Kart would be its karting gameplay, the tracks themselves(even though they originate from Mario), the vehicles, the obstacles(The functions they provide in game, not their origins). If you remove everything Nintendo and Everything Mario from Mario Kart to where it is just a barebones Kart racing game, then it becomes obvious that the game has absolutely nothing to do with the Smash Series.

So the answer would be a big fat nothing. And since nothing in Mario Kart exclusively relates to Smash then it becomes obvious that despite there being fan overlap it has nothing to do with Mario Kart and rather being fans of Mario and Nintendo in general.

In short, the only thing Mario Kart and Smash have in common is that they are both made by Nintendo and feature Mario characters. Nothing in Mario Kart has an analog or derivative in Smash, so while there fanbases are related, its simply because of Mario/Nintendo fans not Smash Fans being Mario Kart fans and vice versa.

The only reason you have this false notion is because you have failed to abstract the problem. Correlation does not imply causation. Just because Mario Kart has a bigger fanbase, does not mean that Smash's fanbase is a direct result of that.

That's akin to saying LOZ fans like Bayonetta because Bayonetta has Link Costumes in it.

This is why its ridiculous.

Sorry about that Seece. I was channeling my inner Kaizar

Minimum of 1 million gap by the end of the year in terms of sold to consumers.

Shipped to retailers, the gap will be bigger.

Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287

Gap is 500k week before Black Friday.

I don't own any of the two and think X1 has a shot of doing this. If not it will happen eventually in the next 6 months.

I second

Has your predictions changed with this weeks sales?
