Yesterday I got banned for trolling in this thread. I received an elaborate ban notice:

Bait threads will be locked and you will be moderated for them. There has been a misunderstanding, so I want to clear that up. Let's start with the worst offender. The flow of the conversation was that someone brought up PS4 sales in order to hurt me, I responded that it doesn't, oddly enough I was asked why it hurts me that Xbox is down, so I gave a clear answer. "Xbox down makes me happy." is not equal to "Muahahaha.", but rather "It's the opposite."

The above was an answer to why there is no drama in Microsoft financials threads. It's not because it's a well-run company, it's because people have come to expect and accept that it isn't going to be any better, meaning that Xbox isn't going win. Since the thread in question doesn't display correct post ID links for some reason, I'll quote the expansion of my point directly:

Which means that he is referencing post ID 7242227 that is already linked above. The second part is a response to why I posted in that thread. First and foremost because other threads were boring, but obviously also to cause some drama. However, I had the situation under control and it included self-mockery, so instead of getting seriously angry, people would get a chuckle out of it. Heck, even Patrick Star understood it.

As for the accusation of derailment, the thread was as good as dead, so there wasn't much to derail to begin with. kowenicki and theprof00 watched a percentage go up and down, and that's basically the only on-topic thing that happened yesterday. Once I got removed from the thread by force, it died.

There's one last thing that I have to get out. Carl, don't call me ignorant.

How can I use the spoiler tag? I've posted a lot of spoilers before and I don't regret it, but I need to know now before I go too far.

Highlight the parts that you want to hide, then click on the box in the top row of the rich text editor that reads "Styles" and select "Spoiler".

The upper spoiler tag has a space after the period and the space was not included in the highlighted part before selecting "Spoiler". The lower spoiler tag is the same without a space after the period and that makes a difference as you can see.

Thank you for asking about this, and please do use the tag for spoilers whenever in doubt. Rule #8 is explicit about spoilers: Do not posts spoilers unless you have CLEARLY marked them as such - if necessary using the 'spoiler' tool in "styles." 

It isn't possible for a banned account. They were using an alt though.
