Since a newcomer thread still isn't made yet, I have more questions!

In Rich response, I can't get the bold, italics, underline or strike through to always work properly

This text should be bold
this text italics
this text is underlined
and this strike through
.

It shows up fine when I am in the reply screen but once I post it, the format disappears.. Any ideas of what I am doing wrong?

Especially when I want to strike through or bold a reply from someone else, it doesn't work either..

You have great timing. I've just finished correcting these issues.

I just wanted to make sure that this amount of trolling (sarcastic attacks) and flaming (calling another user salty) was alright here. If so, its one of the reasons Xbox fans don't like to make threads.

Just report the posts and the mods will deal with it. They can't see everything all the time.

Done. Thanks

Hey mods is there a limit on the amount of text that a user can contain in his signature? If there's a limit for gifs and pics id imagine there's one for text. There are a few users who got a shit load written and it clogs up the threads they post in.

What are your thoughts?

A sig cannot be overlong, whether it contains text or images.

But I would suggest that you bring it to mod's attention if you think specific users have too much. Maybe email Smeags.

Hey mods! Newbie here. Do I have to OK a thread idea with a mod b4 I make it? I made sure to search through old threads so I won't be reposting (although the search only goes back as far as 90 days)

The only threads that need mod approval are either voting/poster above you threads (Elimination games and the like) or threads that you want to be deemed "official" (Like, Official Bloodborne Thread).

Anything else is good to go. And it seems like you've done your homework, so good luck. ^_^

Just make sure that your thread is according to the rules as well:

  1. Thread Creation. Thread titles and content must be descriptive and on topic. Contentless threads and those who break the following rules can and will be locked.
    • Thread Titles:
      • Should not use deceptive hooks to lure people in.
      • Should not be used to pose simple questions.
      • Should use full names rather than abbreviations (StarCraft instead of SC. Star Control 2 instead of SC2. Soul Calibur 3 instead of SC3. SimCity 4 instead of SC4).
      • Should use proper capitalization (no CAPS), grammar, and spelling.
      • Should not include inappropriate language. We don't restrict language usage in posts, but thread titles are a different matter. Also, letter substitution fools nobody, but strings of unpronounceable symbols are acceptable.
    • Thread Content:
      • Threads are only "official" if a moderator says so (to get Moderator approval, you must contact a moderator and they must be the one to approve your idea/title for an "Official" thread).
      • If two threads on a topic are created around the same time, the one with the clearest title and most constructive content will remain open, the other will be locked. Even if the latter was created first.
      • Threads should not be aimed at one user (or moderator) in particular, especially not to call them out or insult them. If you want to talk to a user, send them a wall post, or a Private Message.
      • Posts that are clearly a reply or a response to a thread should be just that, a post. Threads should not be a reply, a response, or a retaliation to another thread. Keep related discussion in the appropriate thread.
