Forums - Gaming Discussion - What's the most important aspect of gaming, for you?

(It can be anything, by the way. Be it boobs, eargasmic music, or whatnot.)

I don't feel like adding a poll because I want to hear your thoughts.

Part of the reason I made this thread is because of seeing the internet melt down partially (I don't take note of how large), and part of the reason I made this thread is because of Viv-chan, and part of the reason I made this thread is because I'm sick of the people who want to wreck someone else's fun because the game s/he like isn't 1080/60, hurr durr, and part of the reason I made this thread is because I've been curious as to why the people here are still into gaming.

Me?

The most important aspect is the fact that I have fun, and that the game brings me along on a ride that I'm sure to remember.

Soul.

I was gonna say Playstation supremacy, but you've convinced me otherwise: boobs it is.

Ease of play. This doesn't mean easy, I mean to be able to get into it easily. Complicated games, ones that punish you early on for no reason or are frustrating are usually the games that put people off. Please being fun helps.

Hmm, pie.

Pretty tough to answer. I don't think there is a single thing that would apply to all games. Wait, there is.

I'm always looking for uniqueness. Could be any aspect of the game but it should be intriguing and never been seen before. The main reason why I absolutely love games like Baten Kaitos and Resonance of Fate and Mirror's Edge and Nier. It doesn't even matter if they are actually good when they are able to bring something new and cool to the table.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Gameplay for me is the most important. If it has a lot of options and a lot of stuff to do, like Fallout, I will play the game non-stop regardless of the graphics. Gameplay guarantees replayability for me.

Second aspect, and a must for me, is that the male characters must have some kind of skintight clothing. Whether it is for recreation, tactical use or enhancing properties, I rather prefer certain characters to have a bodysuit of some sort. Why? I have my reasons. There's a lot of female characters that wear such suits (Samus, Bayonetta, Crimson Viper, Ayane) and I believe that we need to see more guys in games donning skintight outfits.

gameplay ofc

beste game these days (for me) is path of exile by far.

I think so, too. Resonance of Fate is a good example of what I look for. It definitely wasn't without its problems, but the vignette style story-telling, the wacky writing, the somber piano pieces, the doll-like characters and muted color palette, the fussy battle system, playing dress up... it all created an indelible experience I'll remember far more vividly years from now than I will much "better" games from the last generation.

Novel gameplay, or failing that, polished gameplay.

Also local multiplayer games, so I can share my experiences directly with others. Failing that, online multiplayer that I'll play along with friends locally.

The ability to suck me in. A good game will make me play it when I have free time. A great game will make me play it even when I don't have time to play it. What factors most in that "ability to suck me in"? I can't really narrow it down.
