After playing it at the recent expo I knew this game would tank. Motorstorm was a fun game as it was not trying to be realistic. This on the other hand is sooooo boring. It will be in the PS+ deal before xmas no doubt. I think any website that gave it a 7 is being way too generous.

What really hurts is PS4 owners have been waiting a long time for a good racing game and DC was even delayed for an entire year.

Without the delay you could probaly leave out the good part since it would be a bad racing then. Funny thing Europe loves racing games, Playstation loves Europe. The first 11 MONTH's after the PS4 launch there wasn't a single (serious) racer. NFS is kind a like an American type of racegame which is just an over the top action game with cars.

Yeah... Seriously, racing games are not that popular, it's maybe the less popular of the mainstream types of games. If you compare racing game with other sport games, FPS, TPS, strategy games, RPG, or other... It's nothing, few people buy a console for a racing game. XBOne has Forza and FH2, and we know how it helped the sales...

Damn, I was hoping for better reviews. I will try the demo whenever it comes to psn. Hell, when are the new games going to be available for ps+?

About exactly where I predicted the score to be.

Its an 8 with updates could be better.

How reviews can range from 5 to 9 and be taken seriously is another matter that is more serious then 5 points up or down on meta. Yes its mere opinion and like a holes we all have them, but it used to be a 5 was just a bad games. Now DC is quality all around, might not suit some peoples tastes but review it based on what it is not what you wish and want things to be.

DC and AlienISO have shown reviewers being incompetant at actually reviewing, its more fanboy whines and crys then a intelligent nit pick of the good and bad of a title.

Why is 74 a "yellow" score on metacritic again? Isn't that well above average? Shouldn't it be green already, and instead make sub-70 yellow...? I don't know.

Esentially the videogames reviews usually give higher scores than other media, we have too many 9+ and 8+ compared to other entertainment options... I will give you an example.

Currently the best rated movie on theathers on a wide release has a score of 79, the worst is 13

For the PS4 the best rated game released has a score of 95, the worst is 30

So the average is higher for games that for movies, and Metacritic took it into account at the moment of defining the color code.

Gran Turismo 5 sold over 10 million units, but in general I fear you're right the racing game genre doesn't sell to well without the name Forza, Mario Kart or Gran turismo. (The first motorstorm also sold pretty well)

What is it now? 74 or 73? I predicted 73 in the prediction thread. I called it a solid yet shallow experience....and i was right. I feel bad for ps4 only owners. Its been a rough go.

73 is a bad score? lol Thats  still a good score . it means the game is great but not phenomenal. can't alays expect all games to get 8 and above.
