Shamelessly stolen from NeoGAF, yeah I know. 

With a new generation upon us, some franchises, like Mario,  always get a new installment in the new generation. Others like Perfect Dark stop for seemingly no reason at all. 

So VGChartz, what franchises do YOU expect to continue and die? If you ask me, SOCOM, and Mega Man will definitely die out.

This thread also makes me think about the franchises that will still be alive due to its popularity.

Is this for the eighth or ninth generation? A lot of the series mentioned so far already have an 8th gen installment.

My vote would have gone to Saints Row, but seeing that they are reissuing part 4, it's safe to assume they have more planned.
Because of that - Bioshock, Left 4 Dead, God of War...

Why Pikmin? 3 sold fairly decently given the game is on Wii U, and the game ended on a cliffhanger. I think there will be another Pikmin at some point.

Not sure about Socom or Megaman but I do feel that Uncharted will end this gen.
