Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Is this it for WiiU in 2015?? Already bigger than 2014??

O man, that line up is depressing, the lack of third party support really hurts the console, if that is the full list of 2015 releases (it should not be) I will only buy 3 games for my console next year.

It's not, because we don't know the full lineup yet. Thre are almost certainly unannounced titles we don't know about yet, plus there's the potential for games like Fatal Frame 5 and Shin Megami Tensai x Fire Emblem to rock up. There are also some outside contributions not listed, like Project CARS, FAST Racing Neo, and 90s Arcade Racer.

FF5, I will buy day one (if Nintendo does the right thing and brings it), I don't buy download only games for Nintendo consoles. Still it looks like my purchases will not reach 6 games for the Wii U.

Zelda, xenoblade and Smash bros are the only games (in my opinion) that will move a noticeable amount of consoles. The other games will be a great addition to the Wii U library, but not for its sales.

I am skeptical about that. I fear it will be end up like TW101.

I expect a delay for starfox. It seems to be in a very early development stage.

We have already seen gameplay from Yoshi, Kirby, Splatoon, Xenoblade X, Mario Party & Maker. So a 2015 release can be expected.

Zelda release in 2015 could be possible but honestly I expect a delay from every console Zelda

Fatal Frame 5 is a save bet for 2015, at least in EU. Plus some unannounced games like Project Guard/Giant Robot and more third party collaborations like Hyrule Warriors and more "second" party games like Devil's Third and Bayonetta.

i dont see how mario maker or mario party 10 are different form nes remix and etc, but okay. And, even if we want, lets not forget that we will recieve sonic boom exclusively for wiiu because of a deal with sega, so we ahve going for us, which is nice...

And thecnically, fatal frame alreadly released, so...

From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

I would love for Wii U to have a consistent flow of exclusive software throughout 2015 but after seeing the software output in 2013/2014 and so many delays/droughts, I'm not going to get my hopes up.

this is what I would like to see

Q1-Yoshi's Woolly World+Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
Q2-Mario Maker+Splatoon
Q3-Super Mario Sunshine HD+Xenoblade Chronicles+Star Fox
Q4-Devil's 3rd+Kirby Rainbow Curse+Mario Party 10+Fatal Frame 5+Legend of Zelda

but I wouldn't be surprised to see this

February-Captian Toad:Treasure Tracker
May-Mario Maker
August-Yoshi's Woolly World
September-Splatoon
October-Devil's Third
November-Super Mario Sunshine HD
December-Kirby Rainbow Curse+Xenoblade Chronicles X (Japan only)

Star Fox gets pushed back because of never was really planned for 2015, Mario Party 10 is purposely delayed to fill in the Q1 gap, Zelda isn't ready and becomes the holiday 2016 title, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate never comes to Wii U, and Fatal Frame V never gets localized.

those are pretty much my best & worst case scenarios, I'm expecting something in the middle.
