Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you use your console for other things than gaming?

Since consoles are getting more and more multimedia and entertainment functions, I wondered if you guys are actually using your consoles for anything other than gaming.

I myself don't really use my Wii and 3DS for anything special and I don't expect to use any media functions for a long time unless I get a Wii U. I think the gamepad is pretty neat for YouTube and simple web browsing. My phone is way more efficient at doing those things though, because I always have it near me.

I used my wiiU to watch porn when I felt too lazy to reach my laptop

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

PS3/PS4: BluRay and DVD player. As well as TuneIn Radio.
WiiU: Internet browser, especially with other people it's really cool. Best browser available on any device that's not a PC. YouTube... I guess.

I sometimes surf the Internet with the WiiU browser, but that's about it.

Sometimes Netflix or IGN videos, but that's about it.

My PS3 is being used only for Netflix in the past six 3-4 months. If only HBO could be arsed to make an app that works here on the PS3.

I use my PS4 for games only. Tried using MLB and Crunchyroll apps once, but I prefer those and other apps on my tablet.

Xbox 360 for DVD's and Wii U for Youtube and Netflix (that is, when Netflix works, which is about one sixth of the time--not sure why).

Currently playing:

Bloodbath Paddy Wagon Ultra 9

Wii U for Netflix and the occasional web surfing.
