I noticed that PS4 barely beat out XB1 in the US on the latest update. That makes no sense! I have been following the Amazon top sellers for many months now, and it has been pretty accurate for predicting overall sales of game consoles. I was expecting PS4 to utterly trash XB1 this week, but the numbers show PS4 only a few thousand ahead of XB1.

In general XB1 has been in the 30's during the time frame the latest sales update shows. During this same period, TWO PS4 units have been in or close to the top ten: the regular PS4 and the special edition white Destiny bundle. So two PS4's around the top ten vs one XB1 in the 30's out of the top 100.

So how on earth can PS4 have only beaten XB1 by a few thousand? It should be double or more ahead for the week. The regular edition PS4 alone should have beaten XB1 by more than a few thousand. Thoughts?

I don't think it is as undertracked as you think, but I do think it is undertracked a bit each week based on what the average was over summer and considering sales should be going up now.

This is like deja vu... unreal...

PS4 is selling 84k more than the xbox one this week, Certainly not its biggest win, but far from a failure. 

I also noticed the same thing and also was banned for my comments about the Xbox One. Join the crowd! The sales are undertracked on PS4 and overtracked on Xbox One for some reason. Why would that be? Hmm....

As Ka-pi stated we already have a thread to discuss this. You can post the OP in that thread but I don't feel this thread is needed.

I think the thread by BraLOD (posted in the first comments) does a better job to prove the undertracking (aligning Sony's official announcements with VGC data and using Destiny week numbers to show that the last 2 months didn't made any sense here).
