I thought they didn't have any already?

Ah I see, tuition fees came into being in 2006, after my time. I'm old :/

You're too much in dept to have something like this. UK would be fucked if they did this also

"Free education is a concept that is embraced in most of Europe with notable exceptions like the U.K., where the government voted to lift the cap on university fees in 2010. The measure has reportedly cost more money than it brought in. The Guardian reported in March that students are failing to pay back student loans at such a rate that “the government will lose more money than it would have saved from keeping the old £3,000 ($4,865) tuition fee system.”

Wow, I wish my tuition was free. I pay almost $10k for my tuition.

Thy weren't as widespread either. Some states never adopted it. There are however other fees you have to pay everywhere. But those are one half state subsidized and not very high. So no matter how long you go to college, after graduating you will never have to pay back more than a couple of thousands.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Its a shame education, in regards to college/uni cost money but someone has to pay for it, either the taxpayer or the uni student. I am in Australia and the new proposed law reform the government is bringing for uni degrees include that the tax payer pays half whilst the uni student must now pay the other half, which is fair in my opinion.

Yeah, but only Scotland. They had to cut back on something else to be able to afford it, although I don't know what.

Wow. Did not know any of that. Makes America seem pretty crappy. My college is $30K/year, and that's after my scholarship.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
