Also, Scum did nothing to mix up Spurge's scan of me, which makes it even funnier.

Actually we did! We redirected you to Wonk! That's how we knew spurge was lying! You couldn't have gone to Khan like he said because we sent you to Wonk, thinking you were the SK. When you flipped jester, we thought spurge was the SK because we knew he was lying and wasn't on our team so we assumed he wasn't town. Spurge is the reason we killed Conegamer. His lies actually significantly helped town. I wouldn't have gone so aggressively after him if I didn't know for a fact that he was lying. I thought there might be a second scum faction because of something Imp told us, so when I went after Khan the first day, I really thought I was finding scum, and then again with spurge. So I would have been much less suspicious if spurge hadn't lied and thus I wouldn't have voted him.

But at the same time killing me sorta screwed you over. Looking at roles; I'd say it surely would have been better to just scan as many people as possible.

The game would have been easier if we had not killed you, so yeah, it would have been preferrable to not kill you at night. The mistake we made though was in misinterpreting Clyde. In retrospect it would have been possible to conclude that he was master hand but we were conserned that he was a daytime vig based on one passing comment he made.

I know the role I had was intended by prof to be used as a scan first then recruit role, but we abandoned that path and I don't think that was a mistake. It gave us more time to try to find a SK and we got the role information we needed from claims anyway. Sure, we might have learned that Khan was just a flavor cop and it would save us some worry and we could have known we could have killed stefl and whomever he consumed at the same time, but Stefl was always immune thanks to the hammer vote. Instead, I chose to mimic the doctor since we knew the town healer was dead on Night one but town didn't and I actually had a doctor power that could be tested and proven if need be.

And of course, as Hylian says also, I don't feel like going back and second guessing a strategy that just lead to a win (that was looking pretty unlikely a couple of Days into the game none the less)

Yeah, I was kinda salty when you claimed you are "not as much a doctor" as I thought... there was this one post where you said you were basically a psychiatrist.

Honestly, the biggest problem we had was letting trough another tracker/watcher role with what we had given.

Are you thinking about Hylians voyeur claim which was complete bull and turned out to be very helpful?

As for my own claim, my intention was to claim doctor, but with phsych abilities if targeting a SK (which was my real role) but for some reason people kept thinking I was claiming phsychiatrist.

Other factors that helped us win: Clyde's ban and the lengthy drawn out Night it caused. It was obvious that fatigue was setting in and town was ready to get things over with. Hylian took advantage of it and you being away so much to get you lynched when they should have gone after Hylian.

Yeah, i'll cop to that. I was kind of sick of this, and yet i get pissed off at losing.

See, i felt like i had gotten past this sore loser thing. Then in comes the 3DS league and this game and i feel like i haven't grown at all since i was 14 and breaking things over frustrating video games.

So, yeah. Not feeling good about this.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

To be honest most of what you said was right; going after Imp and Hylian. You just didn't follow through on your gut feeling which is very unlike you and it was very difficult to watch.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

No his lies didn't help. They got smeags lynched. They got him lynched. While his role could have been the most helpful at confining people. They opened room for more doubt on stefl. They also made me more skeptical of him seeming to buddy up with me when I was thinking I should be the one hammer instead of pushing that harder.

I'm still rather upset with the town's inability to pull plan off. That should have been the end for both you and imp. Had I had no faith in town I would have targeted imp :(

Khan, you did fine. Everyone's making you feel worse by implying that you should have seen it, but they all would have made the same mistakes in your shoes. We did a really good job as scum, and they can't accept that. You just followed the argument that made the most sense. Any other time, that would've helped you, and in future games, you should continue to do that, because 99% of the time, Occam's Razor is going to serve you well. If I'm ever town with you, I want you to do exactly what you did today, because it will most likely help us. I mean that. You did great. Any other time your play would have won you the game.

But this time, prof was a bastard mod and gave you a role that didn't give random responses, nor did it give wrong responses, it implied you were a straight cop and then gave a specific list of responses that were usually right, but sometimes wrong. In the case of me and Nox, we were specified as godfather and miller, but then you had spurge who was a hidden miller and Imp who was a hidden godfather! And then there was stefl who was just whatever alignment the person he inhaled was. Take a look at that list prof gave. It's not random. You get accurate reads except for the named godfather, the named miller, the hidden godfather, and the hidden miller. Otherwise you're a cop. You get a flavored weapon, it's scum, you get nothing, it's town. Flavor or not, that's an alignment cop right there. Except, that is, for two godfathers and two millers, only two of which even know they're godfathers/millers. But there was a definite pattern that suggested your powers were more or less trustable, and that's why I was able to convince you that you were an alignment cop, because you were.

TL;DR, Prof was just a bastard that put an alignment cop in a game with two millers and two godfathers, two of which were hidden, and you Khan cannot be blamed for your mistakes.

You just can't accept that we scum did a good job. His lies hurt us WAY more than it hurt you. You lost one town, spurge himself, while we lost Yoshiya and Conegamer. A redirector and a fucking second night kill, or at least another recruitable member.

It didn't help that spurge reacted really badly to himself having a bat. He's Ness, that's ness' standard gear. If it had been a yoyo it would have been the same. His weapon scan was designed to make him have to claim, but he lost all credibility for his claim by lying about what he did!

Town was really overpowered in this game, even with the balance.
Clyde's ability is considered one of the most op town powers ever in mafia.

Watcher, tracker, role cop, role bomb, fbi agent, friendly neighbor, double voter/vote negater.
Vs what? Ninja, janitor, Sk, mafia doc, redirector.

Town had a confirmable town, endless bulletproof vests from hammers, 2 action trackers, flavor cop that would've outed 2 mafia, and a role that shows everyone who visited a dead player. Oh and a jailkeeper!

Like, seriously no mod in the future should mess with that much power. Town really blew it, and spurge was quite an important role to be messing around like that.
(oh, and if padib had killed master hand, he would've left the mafia team and exited the game)

Man it was so stacked in town's favor.

Yeah his lies hurt so much that scum lost.... oh wait....

Yeah sorry don't see it. And no you didn't do a good job. Town did a very very terrible job. Big difference.

You lost yoshiya because of stefl and Khan, plus his own slips. While you might not have used him on  spurge had he said something else. You instead would have been up against a townie that only wouldn't be lynched and you'd have to deal with for fear of him following you guys. You guys killed cone. That's on you. Own it.

Also the double voter/ silencer. I had one night self protection. But town imploded. Yay us!

Thanks for the game and sorry for any hard time I gave you. I did have fun.

You have no idea what spurge's lie did to us. We overcame it. But whatever, believe your hindsight bias and blame everyone that survived past you, that's the easy way out.
