Good thing I let my PS+ lapse a few days ago. Nothing here to make me extend it until at least late November, and by rhen there should be some sale on the subscription...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we all wanted 8, and not only that but games that were released this month like Destiny and FIFA 15. It's strange how people complain over the idea that they are being given games for nothing instead of just appreciating those games, hell for the trophy addicts it's just more of what they need. |
Games for nothing? It costs $50 for this subscription, and consumers have every right to complain if the service doesn't provide enough content to justify the cost. And yes, I understand that in the course of 12 months, PS Plus will provide over $50 worth of games, but if those games are titles that consumers normally wouldn't buy or have bought already, then it's not a good value proposition.

Fine I'll reword it.
"It's better than paying $50 just to pay online."
...
Hmm, pie.
they should just separate online gaming from free games, maybe even divide the free games by platform.
must-have-list for platforms i don't own yet:
WiiU: Donkey Kong
XBone: Dead Rising 3, Ryse
A bit meh, but I'm interested in Rainbow Moon
As for Drive Club, I'm on the fence. I guess I'll play it, but I may wait for a discount before buying the actual thing (and despite the PS+ discount, that will be a physical copy). I just don't hugely love driving games, especially with my slightly laggy projector
Great month... exactly the games I want.
And PS4 got 3 games (excluding DriveClub).
Spelunky is amazing... and I always wanted to try Dust: An Elysian Tail.

funny, considering like 4 of those games have above 85 metacritic (take that at your own discretion) |
I think there is a clause that the free games have to be over a certain score on metacritic... something like 70+? I can't find it now but recall reading there was some thing from stopping them just dishing out rubbish games.

Well only rubbish in my opinion of course. The Batman one is rubbish because I don't like Batman, simple that one The indie ones are rubbish because... actually that is quite self explanatory. Driveclub I'll probably try, but I think racing games are usually boring, very boring in fact. |
@bold Microsoft just shelled out 2.5billion dollars for an indie game. Some indie games can beat the "AAA" cookie cut games around the place in terms of innovation and just sheer fun. Heck I've been lost in Entwined since getting it in the psn sale.... a game where you fly down a tunnel through patterns of shapes... done amazingly well tho to some great music.
