Forums - Sales Discussion - Japan Sales Week 39, 2014 (September 22 - 28)

Big drop for Bayo 2 as expected, the game will obviously not have strong legs in Japan.

Decent opening for Fatal Frame V though, I mean given the standard of the franchise... it also boosted hardware sales more than Bayo 2, surprisingly.

Smash and Youkai Watch slaying. The Legend of Heroes has become increasingly more popular over the last few years, I like that.

Destiny holding up MUCH better than I thought it would in Japan. PS4 hardware is also surprisingly stable considering the huge lack of software for it this year.

wtf...Is this the first time that wii u sales between media create and famitsu are so close?

Fatal Frame actually pushed a few k Wii Us. Software numbers are abysmal though.

Huge discrepancy for Xbone between the trackers

Next week is The Evil Within, right?

And Omega Quintet i think

That's the one that worries me. I'm not sure what to expect of their first PS4 game. Really hoping it does as well as their other main franchises.

What?

I expected sub 500 by now.

It comes out end of Oct (23rd). This week has KH 2.5 and next week will be beyond f***ing crazy with N3DS+MH

Ouch Bayonetta 2, that's a big drop, down into the 3k region the week after? 100k FW global and 300-350k lifetime global doesn't seem that amazing any longer.

It is obvious ps4 will do well in japan considering what it is doing now with no software. Will go up a good amount in 2015

One is up, interesting. (Famitsu numbers)

Gotta say, I very much prefer Famitsu this week.
