Fake! No expletives, clearly not Kamiya.

Honestly i was waiting for a swear word to pop up, but nothing happened!

Either Kamiya is being the bigger man for once, or some higher ups told him to stop swearing on twitter.

I can see why Sega didn't want it anymore. I really don't rate Kamiya at all, his upcoming Xbox exclusive Scalebound sounds good so far but I'm thinking it may turn out to be another Platinum flop

Beyonetta wasn't a flop though. Beyonetta 2 probably wouldn't have been if it was for XB One and PS4 and theres still time for the west to make it a hit on Wii U. I'm surprised Sega holted development, what else did they intend on investing on? Beyonetta is one of the most successful console games they've had in a long while.

Clearly, yearly Sonic.

Well Nintendo gobbled that up too lol. They might as well just buy Sega... And least that way we'd probably see more of direction within the company. I really have no idea what sega stand for in 2014. Gosh I miss the Dreamcast days :(

I don't get the hype or draw to this game. Yes its a good action adventure game, yes I am happy that ninty helped them bring this game to light. But we are talking about a series that its best outing was on the PS360 and even then only managed sales of around 2M. And now its on the wiiU exclusively and I am certain it will not break 1.5M in sales.

What gives?

Only managing sales of 2m is underplaying a bit. 2m is strong for something that most people consider ''Niche''. Its a V good action game (what more do you need?), fufils a gameplay niche that isn't being occupied by any other action game (Essentially continuing Devil May Cry's style since DMC went in a different direction), has that unique Japanese flair missing in most game.

Even back then sega never really had direction. Thats why the dreamcast flopped. They have always been like this, they can make eally great games but somehow lack the sense or conviction to manage and nuture their franchises. Sega wouldn't know what to do with a multi-million selling IP if you slapped them in the face with it.

Look at vanquish, one of the most critically and user acclaimed games of the last gen.... still no hint of a sequel... hell that game is so god people would probably even settle for a remaster. And virtua fighter? Shen mue, when you look at all the games sega isn't making, then you look at what they are... you can't help but wonder whats wrong with them.

No wonder he gets so pissed from time to time. Gamers are retards sometimes, seriously...
Nintendo made this game possible, if you want to play it, buy a goddamn WiiU.

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

I am not saying it didn't do well, hell demon's souls which was an exclusive on PS3 did just around 1.8M. I know thats great for niche titles. But demon souls went in the right direction, they went multiplatform, dark souls went on to sell around 3M or so. I just feel that all the attention and hype this game seems to get doesn't match its sales at all. Makes me think we are dealing with a very very loud minority.

On another note I think its also a very nintendo fan problem too, they hype evry game to infinity and back, but when the game is released they don't buy it.

So rather than Nintendo seeking Bayonetta out as an IP, Kamiya sought out Nintendo as a publisher. That actually makes perfect sense.

I'm disappointed because it means Nintendo ISN'T in the market to expand their console's IPs, which is what they should be doing with the Wii U. At least they've been promoting it as if it were a Nintendo IP with Nintendo Directs and all.
