It's easy to understand, but hard to accept (for a bayonetta fan without a Wii U)

Buy a Wii U, problem solved. :)

Making a bigger problem to solve a smaller one isn't wise.

If he hasn't  bought a WiiU by now clearly no game in that console insterests him. That means  Bayonetta 2 would cost him nearly $400 and come on now , no  game is  worth that much no matter how great it is.

Liking a game and being a fan of it doesn't mean paying inane amounts of money for it. If that were the case then no game would be sold at $60.  There's more to life than "loyalty" to a product.

If he doesn't buy the system then he kind of forfeits his grounds to complain, as he's the one depriving himself of the chance to play it.

He'd have to spend over 600% more just  to play that one game, I'd say that's a legitimate reason to complain.

Based on your logic I  shouldn't  complain that I don't drive a Ferrari becaue I'm depriving myself the chance to drive one, nevermind that I can't afford one without going bunkrupt.

You're not entitled to something just because you want it. Things cost money.

Who said anything about being entitled to anything?

It's all about value, just because you're getting more value out of your console purchase doesn't mean somoene else is.

Then by all means, don't buy it, but accept that your decision is the reason you're not getting that console's exclusives.

But the decision to not buy a Wii U is spurred by loyalty to a different product.

Is this another Bayonetta 2 Derangement Syndrome thread?

No, based on this logic you shouldn't complain that you don't drive a Corolla because you bought a Civic. You had a choice between the two, and you chose the Civic, knowing that you could buy one but not both.

Well, this analogy would work better if a Civic cost 30% more than a Corolla. But you get the gist of it.
