Yay a new Destiny of an Emperor game hurray

Haha, that would be AWESOME.  I played that NES game.  For some reason i always assumed it was a Koei game though.

Probably because they do everything with ROT3K matieral.

I'm actually starting to think Capcom is just trying to recoup from the investments they made on the Gamecube. Payback time, as it were.

Wow. Dark Void looks silly. All that cool buildup, then the character designs look like they were figures rejected from He-man for beign too over the top.

But yeah. I think "tests" is just one guys marketing technique.

After all, i assume everytime a game bombs or sells way better then expected it is something that changes their opionion on things.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

not well enough-Capcom originally had 5 exclusives for the GC and then they backtracked. 3 of them was ported including the all famous RE4, which was ported 3 times. Didn't look like Capcom had a great time on the GC.

If that's not good enough than no Capcom game on PS360 sold well enough, since developing for these consoles is much more expensive than for GC and the sales are about the same. REmake: 1.4 million, RE4: 1.7 million, RE0: 1.3 million.

After seeing the sales of Devil May Cry 4 I am inclined to think nothing will ever come of Capcom's tests. In fact anything from now they call a test I will say they are bull shitting. Resident Evil 4 and Umbrella Chronicles were test and Wii passed those tests in flying colors. But I think following DMC4 Capcom will now see that in all probability it would be much more lucrative to develop a multiplatform PS3/360 game than bring a massive game to Wii. So I don't think they have anything big planned for Wii and I think from here now on anytime they use test they are just deceitfully saying it to encourage Wii owners to buy their so called test game by making Wii owners think that if they buy the game it would result in Capcom releasing something great.

Why on earth do you think developing for the HD consoles is more profitable.

In case you didn't know: developing for HD is much more expensive than for Wii. DMC sold about 1.5 million, which is great, but a game like RE:UC probably generated a bigger profit.

MH3 already proofs that Capcom will put it's biggest Japanes franchises on Wii. And Mega Man will come, which is also a massive game (especially if they reinvent it like Metroid).

DMC sold 1.5 million till now. Lifetime sales might reach 2.5m across both platforms. Mega Man is not THAT huge anymore in Japan ( at least sales-wise ).

But, personally, who cares. As some people have stated before me, Wii cannot get all the games, far from it. I'm just happy I get Monster Hunter 3 ( please people give this game a chance in America and Europe, it's awesome in Multiplayer ) and Okami Wii ( never even played the PS2 version ). I'm more than happy with the Wii line-up as it is.

gotta go to class, make this short. Capcom was disappointed with sales of REmake. They ported RE4 3 times, remember and now remaking RE0. DMC4 sold 2 million so far in first month or 2 month. All of the games you mentioned have lifetime sales.

OK I just want to say this MH3 is on the Wii because CAPCOM IS NOT DUMB!!!!

Japan Console Sales:

Xbox 360: 0.58mil

PS3: 1.96mil

Wii: 5.43mil

Now which one would you mostly likely make the most money off of? And which one will the dev. costs be lower for?

Now with that said all I see are remakes really (not that I'm complaining). Zack and Wiki was a great game though and not a remake, while RE: UC was a bit of a dissapointment to me. Saying that Capcom is "giving" the Wii it's biggest Japanese franchise is nothing if you look at what will get them the most profit it's simple.
