Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Capcom and their Wii "tests" - What are they storing for us Wii owners?

Yay a new Destiny of an Emperor game hurray

Think twice before helping a friend in need.

Around the Network

I am with Riot, the Wii games have been as good or better than the HD games.
PS3:

* Bionic Commando - Not out yet, looks alright
* Dark Void - don't know what this is
* Devil May Cry 4 - Good game, great selling
* Lost Planet - Overated, sorry but it is.
* Resident Evil 5 - I want to be excited but I have nothing against Haitians. Seriously this game seems so racist to me.

Wii:
* Monster Hunter 3 - One of Capcoms key JPN franchises.
* Ōkami - Remake of a great game most haven't played.
* Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - Fun but head shot don't mean much so ultimately loses points.
* Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition - Remake of a great game, better than the original.
* Resident Evil Zero - Argh.
* Sengoku Basara 2 - Devil Kings - Never played it.
* Sengoku Basara X- Devil Kings - Never played it.
* We Love Golf! - Promising, Wii + Love in the title + Capcom character = Everybody's golf killer?
* Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure - One of my favorite games ever.

360:
* Bionic Commando
* Dark Void
* Dead Rising - Fun.
* Devil May Cry 4
* Lost Planet
* Resident Evil 5

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Wow some Sony fans pissing their flaps in this thread.

I think the thread isn't that negative about Capcom's Wii support, just that they have said the games were tests. Is that not enough justification for some speculation on what the "tests" may be for?

I'll go with Riot on this one, the support from Capcom is there, they have delivered some really good games, but i think the main problem is the ports thing, i mean come on, announce or show something new and shiny, like new images from MH3, but stop it with the unupgraded ports thing, at least add something to the port or upgrade the visuals, show some love to the costumers.

If only Nintendo had put a little more power in the Wii, then this would not even be a discussion.

At least capcom are releasing some more hardcore games on the wii. Even ports like okami and RE:4 are good news, and zack and wiki definatly deserves respect.

3rd parties generally seem scared of the wii. Hopefully that will change over the next year or so, and the strong sales from some of capcom's games should play a part in that.

Capcom have also commited to a new monster hunter game: that's a good move.

Racist? god not that again... it's less racist than Perfect Dark.

Lets not forget that the Wii is getting Monster Hunter III. Similar category to RE(?), and thats huge enough to not be considered a test (but a live run :>).

 I second Tavin's motion. And I have to disagree with  Riot of the Blood because ports are poor support. You do not see Capcom porting last gen games to the Xbox 360 or the PS3 and calling it support. Would anyone who owns a PS3 or Xbox 360 be jumping up and down if Capcom announed that they were porting Resident Evil: Outbreak to the HD consoles. And the only thing that would be changed in the game were the graphics? It's still support according to some.
