I personally found the first Uncharted UNPLAYABLE due to how badly it played compared to games like Gears of War and even GRAW or Mass Effect. 

Uncharted 2 on the other hand, is probably the best game out of the entire selection. 

I prefer Gears as a series but my problem with Gears lies with the balance of SP and MP. Gears 2 had pheonominal single player, just as good maybe a little better than Uncharted 2, but the multiplayer was an absolute mess. Gears 3 on the otherhad and an average campaign, but great multiplayer. 

As far as graphics go, Gears never could keep up since Uncharted 2. I reckon Epic got a little lazy at this point. 

I'm a little confused about the reluctance to identify Uncharted as a shooter. It's linear and its gameplay is oriented around taking cover and shooting enemies. There are a handful of puzzles to solve and treasures to find, but these are completely tangential to the core game experience, which is shooting.

Gears 3 suffered from what I like to call Fincher syndrome. (a la Alien 3)

I'm sure there was a good vision for the game, but a combination of pseudo ''artistic merit'' and some truly sloppy and rushed ideas lead to it being the weakest campaign in the series. 

Not fond of the gunplay in either of them, so I pick the one that's better at everything else (Uncharted)

To me Uncharted is an adventur/action game while GOW is a third person cover shooter, so i wouldnt compare them directly, when it comes to gameplay they both play very different, in one you are taking cover and shooting, while on the other you are jumping arround, kicking people in the face, shooting people, climbing running. Etc

Would you call Metroid Prime a FPS?

It's a first person run'n'gun/platformer. It's his own genre, while Uncharted is to Tomb Raider what Jak and daxter is to Crash bandicoot

I agree Gears 3 was without a doubt the weaskest of the series. Gears 1 was the best to me perfect combination of SP and MP and well Gears 2 is in the middle lol. It is like they are numbered from Strongest to weakest lol. I say strongest to weakest and not best to worst because none of the games in the series are bad at all.

Well, I consider Gears 3 the best one of the franchise, but opinions are the variety of life!
