Forums - Sony Discussion - The Order: 1886: Sony's Soulless Answer to Gears of War - IB Times

Calling it now, come February 20, 2015... people will still be ''waiting''...

Around the Network

Sigh I remember back when Uncharted came out....it was Sonys answer to Gears Of War now this is Sonys answer to Gear of War. Why does Sony need an answer to Gears of war anyway? I like the feel I am getting from what I have seen of this game. It doesn't have to do anything special....if it plays smooth with a good story then I am ready for it. I mean what games are really doing things others haven't already? I look for a game to play well, have good controls, and good story. And of course for me to have fun with them....hence the reason most reviews don't mean squat to me.

This game DOES NOT need to be the answer to Gears of War and IS NOT trying to be Gears of war. People are just seemingly trying to make it into Gears of War just like they did Uncharted when it first came out. Anyway I am done with my rant. I am still very much looking forward to this game!

I'd check out some Bloodborne previews and the release date.

Oh, and X1 is the only 8th gen system without an exclusive 90+ meta.  Guess your waiting to jump ahead still?

Nice attempt though

Looks like another TPS to me. Dunno what people see in this game other than its a PS exclusive.

It has pretty graphics and a cool setting. Everything is just residue from the early hype that existed before they revealed the gameplay.

In this games defence it doesn't look bad. Just not great.

It's R@D fault entirely.

1. It was R@D responsibility to release a demo that was good, but keeps you wanting more. Their demo has clearly turned off many of the early reviewers. Example 95% (random guess) of Forza praise started after the demo was released
2. They should have known a 3rd person squad shooter would draw comparisons to GOW, from the early previews R@D has failed from a gameplay standpoint, while making it single player only.
3. Why would they ever even allow it to be interpreted that they don't care about gameplay as long as it looks good.

Me personally I have been waiting for a good playstation multiplayer game since Socom.

Have you ever played the Uncharted games MP pr TLOU of us? Both of those were VERY good and lots of fun. KZ2 of course was a GEM MP wise. And Shadowfall comes pretty close to the greatness that was KZ2 MP. You should give those a try for starters if you already haven't.

Back On Topic:

Time will tell...game still looks like it will be AWESOME imo.

I thought it was an answer to Ryse.

Well it is, isn't it?

Pretty graphics and no gameplay behind it.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Guys, come on. Stop struggling against this.

The guy played a demo. He would know if the game has a soul or not. There is no way you can play a demo and NOT know the state of the game's soul. It's flat-out impossible. He's declared it soulless. For all indents and porpoises, he's Gaming's Master of Souls.

I'm just glad he didn't bow to the allure of sensationalism. We have a true journalist on our hands, people. Show some respect.
