We need more clarification regarding the 100k number as it might be shipped. I remember not too long ago hearing about 100k console preorders for China, which could no doubt mean retailer preorders.

I do however hope this number is "sold" as it would be great news for our hobby.

Of course depends if VGC acknowledges the China numbers. If so it should be easy for X1 to win the week. Probably not by a lot though.

isn't there only 1 retailer in china allowed to sell?    i forget the name but they are china's biggest mobile provider or something.  retailer preorders seems like an awkward number in the event of only one retailer,.. or is it that ms sells to them and they distribute to the ma and pop's around china?

Is it weird that part of me hopes the Xbox One wins that week? We've just been hearing so much about how sales don't matter from a certain group that it would leave them in an awful catch 22. Do they get excited over sales they claim don't matter? Or do they ignore them because they really feel that they don't matter?

I'm sort of betting on the former.

China approved the sale of 5M units. That doesn't mean they shipped that to start with. It is their current limit they can hope to achieve in the long term.
