Hyrule Warriors sold 72K in the first week and 100K so far LTD in Japan. That's clearly not great sales for a Warriors game, but OK for a game on WiiU. But Warriors games are mostly sell only in Japan, so the game will do not much in the West? Seems not so. UK-charts are available for release week in europe, and that game moved 15K in the Kingdoms. If we extrapolate for europe, that means it could have sold 75K first week. If that turns out true, it would be the first Warriors game to sell as good in europe as in Japan. What do you think?

EDIT: The community on Miiverse is very active, check it out, many screenshots and drawings of Miiverse-users: https://miiverse.nintendo.net/titles/14866558073424953781/14866558073424953789

EDIT2: European numbers are in, and yes, Hyrule Warrior did more first week in europe than in Japan, although barely. First week Japan were 72,279, first week europe are 73,734. While these numbers still not great for a Warriors game, it is the first Warriors I'm aware of, that sold more in one western region. We can probably expect a bit more from the US. What do you think the game will do first week in the US?

EDIT3: And US numbers are also in. US has 99K first week (that puts the game at currently 300K), so it sold even better than europe, as expected. So in both regions, europe and  the US the game sold same or better than in Japan. That is a first for a Warriors game and I think Koei notices this.

EDIT4: After the NPD-number with 190K in the US for Hyrule Warriors the numbers are adjusted up. Now it is counted with 129K first week in the US. Nice! With that adjustment Hyrule Warriors is already above 400K in worldwide sales.

Wasn't Koei's goal to sell 1m?

It'll sell decently in the west as it has been advertised more as a Zelda game and less as a Warriors one.

No, many mistake that statement. the guy who said it would love to see 1mil sold, i doubt the real expectations would be a mil.

The UK often sells way more games and console per citizen than the rest of Europe so I would say 50k max.
The North America might have a Launch week of 100k which would bring the number around 250-300k next week

I had the feeling it wasn't advertised as a zelda-game. but probably I'm better informed than the average consumer, so they might have had a different impression.

I compared it with Mario Kart the week before, 1500 in the UK, 9K in whole europe. That's five times a s much. So I applied the same to hyrule Warriors. But it is just a lazy guess. I didn't extrapolate based on population, in that case my extrapolation would be a lot higher. UK has 75M people, EU has 500M, europe at the whole 740M people. That makes 150K extrapolation for europe and 90-100K for the EU. As you can see my extrapolation is lower.

My bad than I just don't see it sell more units in Japan than in Europe, but I would love to be wrong though, the Wii U deserves a little love in Europe after all. But the numbers don't lie and I can see why your prediction is very plausible, guess the picture of link on the boxart does do wonders.

I think it'll easily pass 500k in the west by the end of the year.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

That seems possible, although not easy. Will Koei be happy with that?
