All these "We have China, who needs Japan comments." There really is no substance for comparison with the exception of similar physical ethnic features which actually borderlines on racial stereotype. And this is coming from a mostly Chinese born American who casually admires the Japanese pop culture. But then again, this reaction is probably coming more from the saltiness of a failed Japanese Xbox One launch. You might not need Japan to be successful, but you'll need whatever market you can get to dominate/win. And we all know this is what Microsoft and some of you Microsoft supporters ultimately want.

100 000 in country with 1b people? yeah impressive

You expected it to be 1million then? O_o

Less then 1/10 of the people there probably have enough disposable income to afford one.  Plus the country has no history when it comes to home console sales since they where officially not available to consumers for the last 20 years even though the majority of all consoles have been made there for over ten years.

Wow... Talk about the epitome of downplaying. 

OT: good start for Xbox in China. Hopefully they continue to push this market.

What was the point of this post? Even as a Sony fan I feel this is pretty sad to seemingly come in just to downplay the numbers. 100k is impressive indeed for China shipped or sold. Sigh the "war" never stops for some fans on all systems smh.....
