The Microsoft source for this clearly says 100k shipped. Which Xbox fans immediately ignored the "shipped" portion of.  See gaf thread, it's understood by the mods already.

If they were sold through, we would've already gotten confirmation. However, we didn't. This also contradicts the 116k preorders mymuro claimed about a week or two week ago.

OT: I'm actually kinda disappointed with the X1's launch. I expected a lot more sales, like 250k. 100k in one of the largest markets at launch isn't good enough imo

But how would you say it's a big market when there was none existant before? Sorry for you to be disappointed though, what was your hope again? 250k? Based on what?

its funny... because in an older thread he was inferring that the 100k number previously discussed was a big number but was nothing other than an unconfrimed rumour and that the ONE wouldn't get near it.

Did he?! :) Consider me not surprised...

If this is 'sold through' then THAT is an excellent start in China for MS.

The PS5 Exists.

The source is anyone who can read Chinese, it's not a mystery. I had a friend who works at ZTE confirm it for me. The Chinese speakers on gaf have said the same thing, and they would be banned if it weren't true. It's not even ambiguous in the least. Jfc.

Just a month ago it was suppose to be dead on arrival.  Nobody would buy it because the grey market exists, PC is dominate, piracy, and how much money people have.  As soon as we heard it had 36k Pre-orders people were actually very happy with the news.

And this is the thing, i dont think people should look at this in a console war perspective.  The game industry has a chance to grow, not just Xbox, but also PS and maybe Nintendo if they put an effort there.

With 100k in the first day, whether sold or shipped, plus the enthusiasm as we clearly saw yesterday with lines and crowds, this bolds very well for the future of consoles in CHina. Now CHina just needs to approve more games.  Theyre working on getting 70 more that i know of.  Halo 5has a chinese dub coming so im sure they can get stuff approved but lets hope it continues to be good news there instead of people being mr and miss negativity or trying to downplay something.

Great job MS! Congrats and VERY nice target that you have your eyes on! Hopefully you can reach it! It was a very wise decision to release there before the comp!

The absence of evidence is NOT the evidence of absence...

But wait... is it 100k shipped or 100k sold? I've tried to look everywhere about that, but nothing.

FYI, A9VG is the biggest Sony fans/fanboys forum in China which recently bought by perfect world, publisher of Nerverwinter Online.

I won't take this too serious cuz these Chinese Forums and media tend to merge facts with personal assumption to attract attention.

I guess the Chinese are a lot less biased against American products then the Japanese.

Shipped.

It was know before, no? The first shipment was 100k... it was told weeks ago.

I hope they sell everything in the first week.
