Forums - Gaming Discussion - Tearaway Unfolded Is Clearly a Cut Above Other PS4 Ports

I'm still trying to undertand if it's a straight port, an expanded version or a sequel. From what I've played on the Vita game, not all parts could be translated for PS4 because of some special hardware on the portable.

50% new content, game optimized for PS4

Tearaway 1.5 pretty much, PS4d for you.

Hum, I will wait and see if there's enough new content because I already have the Vita one. Anyway, the game is pretty much worth buying it on PS4, it's a masterpiece.

I don't think it's really fair to compare TU to traditional ports. It's more akin to a full remake, with the original expanded upon rather than simply visually remastered.

One step closer to a Playstation Quadro

as in reasons you need to buy one?

i'm probably going to double dip here.  i loved the first one and i'm impressed by how much of a revision to the game unfolded is.   it's a "shame" for vita i guess but vita is dead,.. i'm glad sony is bringing this to ps4.   now they just need to port gravity rush 1 and put GR2 on ps4 and vita.

Yes, the PS4 is racking up a steady stream of good quality console exclusives. I never owned a PS3, PSP or Vita so I'm really excited about these kinds of ports on top of everything 8th gen.

gotcha and cool!

if you didn't have  ps3/vita i definetly recommend: the last of us, tearaway, pixel junk shooter ultimate, journy, and flower.  guacamelee too but that made it's way to xbox so maybe you've already played it.  i wouldn't not recommend the unfinished swan, sound shapes, and escape plan but those weren't as good as the other ports.   actually there were all pretty good games but each was also a bit too short.   ..sound shapes especially.

for ps4 specific stuff: infamous second son, resogun, killzone (haters be damned), transistor, hohokum, and i'm super stoked for lbp 3, bloodborne and the witness.

honestly,.. with multiplats included like destiny, diablo, pvz garden warfare, the swapper, fez, towerfall, mercenary kings, metal gear, strider, don't starve, ect this has been a hell of a great first year.    waay better than other console's first years imo.  ussually i'm dying for that next game and with ps4 i've got a pretty big backlog already.

expanded and reengineered.

they've shown a few new locations.  they've shown some previous locations that are now bigger and have more quests.  they also shown previous content reengineered to be playable via a ps4 controller since there is no touch screen like on vita.    but supposedly 50% of the content is the same as on vita.

wrt to if it is worth a purchase,. that's probably dependant on how much you enjoyed your first play through.  if you only "liked" it i could see someone passing on this pretty easily.   ...but for the 99% of gamers that don't have a vita this should be a pretty compelling game imo.

50% extra content?! Considering I never played this gem on the Vita, it's a must have for my PS4!

Loved the Vita version and will get this "again" for all the new stuff

Can't wait to play it on the PS4! I wonder what the price will be?

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

This will be bought in my second wave of PS4 games. Always wanted a Vita for this one and Gravity Rush.

I thought it was a spin off and not a port?
