Forums - Gaming Discussion - What the hell are you playing?

Alright were all here in a video game website, but I bet there are some of us here that spend more time posting than actually playing games.

In an attempt to keep us honest I think anytime you get a new game you should post and tell your opinion on it.  It's a way to show what experience you've got and to show if your being a hypocrite and criticizing games you never even touched.

My latest game I got 3 days ago.

DS=Elite Beat Agents

Thought it was going to be boring and easy at first because of the slow training.  Damn this game gets really intense and is a blast to play. You'll only tap, drag, and spin, but don't be fooled it throws you some curve balls.  Whacky stories and funny animation, I recommend this game. ;)

I just bought Final Fantasy III yesterday...I haven't bought a game in a while actually.

I'm liking it so far...the FMV in the beginning was beautiful, I like the in-game 3D...I get confused sometimes though, and it's pretty difficult...I've died a few times for straying just *this* much from the recommended path hehe.

I still have to get Elite Beat Agents...I've played it a tiny bit but I sucked...it could be a good time waster and something fun to share with my friends though.

Otherwise I haven't bought any games recently, it's hard to buy games all the time on my budget, and it was a big decision to throw down for FFIII, but I heard some good things and wanted a little more than a typical throwaway DS game.  I played through NSMB and Diddy Kong Racing very quickly, and haven't had much incentive to pick them up again.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I sucked too, but it gradually gets easier to do, while at the same time it increases in difficulty.  You'll be like, hey I got the timing of the double tap now, and boom they throw you a triple tap. You'll get drag easy and then they give a quick and short double drag your not expecting and follow it with crazy tap combos. Really, it's a great game.

Edit: I heard FF3 was very old school and for harcore gamers.  It actually sounds annoying that you run into a battle every 3 steps but I'm sure it's something I could handle.

I'm playing Metroid Prime, I never finished it on Hard or got 100% items or logbook scans. Trying to do all three in one pass. :) After that I'll move onto Echoes, which I have yet to finish. Probably end up starting over, since it's been too long and I don't remember any of the areas.

I recently finished FFV Advance. I've played FFV a lot but never finished it, and it was a truly awesome feeling to finally do so. :) The final battle was amazing.

Wii Sports, I don't know why people say it has bad replay value. It's just not one of those games that you can spend 5 hours playing at once. It's more of a pick it up for half an hour have some fun then get frustrated and take a break. It's meant for casual play. Although it suffers from being a launch game. Even worse is that none of the reviewers I have seen have actually played it long enough to learn what the actual problem is with it. For the most part it's a very solid game, but the controls were poorly built in some areas, half finished in others. I think this is the type of title that needs a sequel so they can get it right. Tone up the background graphics a little, fix the controls, add instructions on how they work and maybe a few extra games.

Renting and playing Command & Conquer 3 for 360. Very great game.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Playing Sonic Adventure for the Sega Dreamcast. Best Sonic game ever. Oh, and I'm going to get Halo 3 when it comes out. Metroid is good too, but I like Halo better.

Just getting back to Super Paper Mario on the Wii here. About halfway through.
