Yep definitely brave. But someone has to die for our sins.

Also probably the wrong section in the forum :P

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

But what does Billy Boyd think about it?

He should have tried living 100 years ago.

What a tool. I guess they really don't have the right to defend themselves.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

Well I think that outside of USA many people agree with him. In my country (in Europe) almost of all the people I know disapprove the actions of Israël.

I don't think he is talking just about the most recent conflict. And I don't think breaking agreements and settling wherever they want while driving away palestinians isn't exactly the dictionary definition of "defending onseself".

The actor, known from films such as History of Violence and Eastern Promises, cited "the free rein that the government of Israel is given by the US and other influential governments in terms of their handling of the Palestinian question."

He qualified his criticism of Israel saying "Sadly, too, the violent acts from a small minority of Palestinian terrorists also continue unabated."

He has also criticized the coverage of the conflict in the press, saying "No one in the media seems to have a problem with anyone criticizing Palestinian terrorism, but if anyone dares express any objection to the Israeli government’s acts of state terrorism against Palestinian civilians, one is rapidly vilified and censored."

The 50-day-long war between Israel and the Gaza based militants of Hamas claimed a toll of over 2,000 Palestinians and 72 Israelis.

That's why I'm proud to be an American.

J.R.R Tolkien would be disappointed with him.
