I'd like to think Nintendo has a better idea of HD development times at this point, so I'm gonna go ahead and say yes.
I wouldn't be too surprised if it was delayed, mind you, I'm mostly just being hopeful.

This is my thinking also.

Open world game + HD level development + Nintendo's OCD polish = not gonna be ready in time.

It has to, wii u doesn't have much else coming out in 2015 let's be honest.Im looking forward to xenoblade that's about it.

Well that's not strictly true, as you say it has Xenoblade Chronicles X, along with Yoshi's Woolly World, Splatoon, Devil's Third, Starfox, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Mario Maker, Mario Party 10, FAST Racing Neo, 90s Arcade Racer, possibly Shin Megami Tensai x Fire Emblem and Fatal Frame 5, and almost certainly a number of titles that haven't been announced yet.

It's coming out November of next year. This company needs it to stay in the game. It won't matter how done it is, they will have to end production and get it into stores.

How many first party games have they delayed so far? Nintendo always announces release dates very close to release so I don't think it happened often.

I hope not but I think it may be H1 2016. I'm just wondering when the unannounced 3D Mario will release. Maybe 2015 WiiU will have to sell off of smaller titles and games with legs. Then in 2016 we get Mario, Zelda and... Metroid?? (whatever Retro are up to really).

Every game seems to get delayed nowadays so its always a possibility. Its hard to say because we dont know how far along they really are and how long ago they have been in full development. Maybe the extra year will be enough to finish it.

We have seen....pretty much nothing save for a teaser trailer.

It could go either way, Iwata said in one of his interviews that he doesn´t want mainline Zelda games to take 5 years to develop, so a holiday 2015 release isn´t out of question.

I´m sure they got a co-developer to help them with their ambitious project .

...so...wait till E3 2015

Pikmin 3, Tropical Freeze, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wii Fit U, Wii Party U, Wonderful 101 too if you count that as first party.
