Didn't you sell your Wii U?

Low blow man... ... its all in good fun though I guess ::lawl::

Yes it is a good time to own a Wii U, Bayonetta and Smash are going to come out one month after another. MK8 is GREAT, NSMBU, Pikmin 3, LoZ:WW, TW101, Hyrule Warriors, SM3DW, DK:TF, Nintendo Land, Wii Party U, and NSLU are Great too. Lots of Nintendo Retro games available on the eShop as well.

Helps that the little 3rd party games they have are selling below 15 dollars now on Amazon too .

It's very obvious as to why it has low sales. Small library, no ads, bad name, no audience beyond Nintendo fans.

All in all though, I'm confident that even sales can pick up. It's still $300 after all.

Wii and ds i guess didn't have a price cut until the 4th years and it's sale was so amazing i don't think price is a big reason for why it sell not a lot

I think price is the main reason why it is not selling that well at this moment. Why? Well, to answer that let's try to break down who might be Wii U's main audience. And I think that audience could tentatively be divided in:

1) Nintendo Hardcore fans

2) New gamers (or parents who are looking to buy an affordable/family friendly console for their kids)

3) Wii owners/Non Nintendo Harcore fans. Here we have all of those (now adolescent) kids that got the Wiis from their parents last gen, but who are now old enough to decide what they want to play.

4) Dedicated gamers (here we have all those people who ALWAYS buy more than one platform and who might see Nintendo's consoles as the perfect secondary consoles because of their exclusives)

Now, obviously members of the first group don't have a problem with the price tag because they see Nintendo's first party games and think that those games more than justify that price tag.

BUT the problems begin when you try to convince members of the remaining three groups.

So I think the biggest enemies of the Wii U at this point are the PS360. They are cheaper options, they have 8 years worth of games, and nowadays you can find plenty of family friendly games there (not to mention the fact that many kids nowadays dont want family friendly consoles).

So, all in all, I can totally see why a lot of people from the last 3 groups can opt to go for the PS360 instead, at least for the moment. Now, could a more affordable price be able to make them change their minds? well, at least that would be one less obstacle.

I enjoyed Nintendo's "risks" on the Wii and DS more-so.

Does that make me a Wii U hater since there's nothing else to like about it?

maybe. Just curious, what risks do you mean with the wii and ds, is it the hardware or the games?

A console have great games?
Só, it doesnt need anything more to be a great console.

Saleswise, it just need a good price cut to go above GC.

Both. And, in that generation, the hardware actually enhanced the games.

The hardware and the games did go hand in hand a lot of the times. I was asking because the games didn't seem to risky back then. I guess there was Mad World and No More Heroes. You're right, they did take more risks back then.

It's too late now,now people will buy ps4/Xone instead of ps3 and xbox360.

vita and wii u has the ssame problem they don't have 3rd party support, vita price cut didn't do nothing so it won't do nothing to wii u too

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Well, as long as there is a will, there is a way.

Hey!  What the hell do you know, Uma Thurman!?  You were in that shitty Batman movie!!  My personal opinion is that Wii U still needs that one breakout game that can ignite sales.  The potential is still there even though it's been two years but I don't know if any console can survive without third party support.
