if i play solidly for hours without doing anything else i will get pretty bad headaches..

This is all solved by taking toke breaks every 20-30 minutes lol

I am Torgo, I take care of the place while the master is away.

I also have some weird problem for over a year and I dont know what it is..my best guess is some kind of panick attack or something like that it mostly happens when im surfing the internet I get all nervous and I feel all the time like im going to lose consciousness its like my soul is leaving my body and sometimes it gets like really scary and im acutally thinking im going to die ...sometimes I feel better for no reason and sometimes this shit happens for no reason.

This is probably good to prevent eye strain problems, but unfortunately it doesn't help me as I get headaches after 20-30 minutes. I'll keep this in mind though.

I think I'm going to do some of these so called eye exercises, even though the eye doctor said they don't help.

Seems like a very annoying condition. You should lower the screen brightness for everything. I spend a lot of time infront of a laptop, TV, and mobile screen so I really hope I don't develop that problem! Actually, I'm in front of a screen for most of the day. When I'm not gaming or surfing the internet, I'm watching TV.

Actually I think that is worse... The more light the more your brain has to process. By reducing the light, less information goes into your brain from your peripheral eye sight, reducing also the effort the brain does in processing our mental image. I guess this is the reason the Op felt less issues during the night.

Those are my thoughts as well. I also think glare has somethin to do with it, even though I have an anti glare coat.

Get a better resolution screen.

Beware that total darkness and so excessive contrast with the environment is bad too, the ideal to minimize eye strain from active screens (active meaning emitting light, not reflecting it, cinemas haven't this problem) is that the environment around be very dimly lit with diffused light (doctors eventually found that watching TV in the darkness doesn't damage sight as previously believed, but they confirmed it causes fatigue, strain).

There even are specialized lights for this purpose, like this http://www.beghelli.it/it/ita/prodotti.asp?idProd=7827 (couldn't find a page with a description in English)  and IIRC I also saw TVs with that kind of environment lighting built-in.
