Mario Kart & Super Smash Bros are often considered the big sellers for Nintendo consoles. They are both amazing multiplayer games that are highly regarded by Nintendo fans. Question is, which is superior?

Once SSB4 comes out, I will make the final judgement but if its like Brawl vs MKwii, then I would say Brawl

Mario Kart 64 > Super Smash Bros 64
Super Smash Bros Melee > Mario Kart Double Dash
Super Smash Bros Brawl > Mario Kart Wii
The Wii U versions are yet to be seen because SSBU hasn't released. MK8 is my favorite MK game yet though so it might be hard to top it.
Overall, I think Super Smash Bros is better
Haven't played Super Smash Bros 4 U (obviously), but from the 3DS demo and prior iterations I'd say SSB is better than Mario Kart.
Does Smash Bros have Karts? I didn't think so.

I love both so I'd rank them about the same but I'll give SSB a nod for such fanservice.
They're both pretty excellent series. It would really have to depend on which entry for me.
So far its SSB > MK64, Double Dash > Melee, & Brawl > MK Wii.
64: Mario Kart
GC: Smash Bros
Wii: Mario Kart (both the worst in the series imo have to pick one though)

WiiU:
I really enjoyed MK 8. It's been the best Kart game since Mk64. I wouldn't say the Vanilla Smash was better than Mario Kart 64, Tell you the truth I had more fun with my friends with MK64 than I did on Smash for N64. Melee the funniest game on the GC multiplayer wise, but Double Dash was no Slouch either. Brawl was better than MKWii but I wasn't a fan of either.
None of us have played Smash for Wii U yet, but those that have played MK8 know that Smash has some REALLY Big shoes to fill to be a better game than MK8.
